Yeah, it's one thing to bring back a classic power-up, it's another thing entirely to have it invade the entire game for seemingly no reason.
 
And not to mention, the Tanooki Tail is invading Mario Kart 7 too
 
The Tanooki Tail is infesting those games.

Agreed about the over inclusion of the Tanooki tails. It was nice at first; however, seems like Nintendo is really stretching the idea this time!

Even though my order is now "Preparing order", it also says "Shipped on or before Nov 03, 2011".
Very interesting.
But it could mean I'll be able to play the final game this week.
If that's true, I'll update you on it before it comes out anywhere else.

I don't mind this influx of Tanooki tails. It could make for an interesting game mechanic, though it'd be nice if enemies had a Mario suit or something that enabled them to do everything Mario can (won't happen in this game, but there's always the Wii U (or whatever it'll be called)).
 
And the Tanooki tails do add to the list of enemy sub-species out there. Of course, it's probable that they'll only be a one time deal.

I meant ending or cutscene spoiler, not gameplay spoilers

A lot of people play their games with the 3D off.
 
I'm sure that's true, but isn't the whole point of getting a console with a selling point of stereoscopic 3D to use that feature (not talking about VC or DSiWare)?

Still, it surprises me that some people are just now finding out that you can turn the feature off.
 
They should have figured it out by now. :/

^I guess the stereoscopic 3D feature is the main selling point of the 3DS, but I think I got the 3DS mostly for its more powerful engine.
 
I often hear that you don't need 3D glasses for the 3DS, but frankly, I'd think that that would be very tough to pull off.
 
When I got to play the demo of the game at Nintendoworld, the 3D effect just made it look blurry, like you're looking through one of those grooved plastic films (the kind that can be used on books to see different things when you look at it at different angles).
It was just distracting, and I eventually just turned it off.

I forgot that you supposedly didn't need glasses for it, and figured that was what was needed. Wonder what it would look like through the glasses.

As I was reading, I found this. It is true they appear. If you were thinking I was the one who made it...

WRONG! It is in a video and I know which one.
 
I'm actually looking forward to this now. The levels look changeling (and I hope they are).
