Actually, each mystery box has 3 or 4 designs, and eack seperate design gives you a different star medal. If you beat a design you've already beaten, then you'll get a transperant Star Medal.

You can go back to Mystery Boxes to get Star Coins, but you have to get a game over.

You just need to wait around 24 hours and the boxes can be replayed. There are 8 Mystery Boxes on the overworld, 4 in the normal and 4 Special, so you're bound to earn more Star Coins.

Bottom right corner. There should be a Luigi emblem, Mario Emblem, and a golden flagpole. If one of those are missing, then you need to fulfill the requirements (i.e. if the L emblem is missing, beat the level as Luigi, etc) And no, you don't need to get on the top of the flagpole.

Edit: On the subject of help, I cannot find the final star medals in Special 6-5 and Special 8-3. Those are the last ones I need.

As for Special 8-3, the last one is on the left just before the lava. Have a huge cone crash into one of the pillars BEFORE you hit the switch. You'll find it on the upper-right.

btw gamefreak did you get that star coin. theres the solution.

Well, a mere 10 days after SML3d Land's release, I have 4 sparkling stars. It would have been a lot sooner if I had known you had to beat the World 8 boss again for some reason. All I have left to do is beat every level again as Luigi, and it will go by lightning quick, for I no longer have to worry about Star Coins or Golden Flagpoles and what have you. And then, whatever happens after that, I dont know.

The first 8 Worlds don't count. Get a sparkling 5 star profile and THEN judge weather it is easy. There are no Super Guide Blocks in the Special Worlds, and the Sparkling Stars shows I not only never used them, but never let them appear. I don't think anyone who doesnt have a 5 star profile can say they beat this game. Not unless you unlock the LAST CHALLENGE the 5 star profile affords.

It's not like the special worlds will be that hard. Short Time Limit doesnt count. I can't see them being hard at all. Maybe if you were speedrunning with no idea of whats ahead then maybe. But only an idiot would do that.
