Sonic Generations

For some reason, Perfect Chaos feels more like a stage than an actual boss. I guess it's due to the checkpoints that were included.

I like that. Sometimes it's annoying to fight bosses, get far into them, then loses and have to start the whole, lengthy fight all over again.

I agree. When I used to play Sonic Heroes on my PS2 I would hit Metal Sonic 4 times and then die, and have to do it all over again. Believe me, I hated it. My best rank on the last story is E.

By the way I'm going to get an Xbox 360 tomorrow, so at least I can get Sonic Generations now.

By the way here the remix of Open Your Heart in the game:

Metal Overlord isn't so hard once you've figured out his attack patterns; less than 7:00 for an A rank is quite doable. He may use Chaos Control during the fight though.

I was talking about the first time I fought Metal Overload. It's not as hard now but I still get a time of about 15 minutes.

I've gotten the Xbox 360 today (I had to pay an extra $50 because I just missed out on some special that ended today) and I've pre-ordered the limited edition of Sonic Generations.

Here's some new videos on Sonic Generations:

I hate how there's no Super Sonic theme in the stages like there is in the previous games. Somehow, that made it seem a lot more epic. It's just not the same without it.

I think I've seen almost everything the game has to offer, and I don't get a copy until Friday!

You mean a Super Sonic tune for when you turn super? It's in there, a remix of the Sonic 4 Episode 1 Super Sonic tune.

I wish I had an PS3, then I didn't have to hand my copy over to my friend, and I'd have a review ready by now.
But sadly, he doesn't have one neither, and he can't get in touch with someone that has a PS3.

I know that, but that song only plays briefly during the final battle, and that's about it. It doesn't play during regular stages. Even while the Sonics are super, the regular stage music will still be playing in the background.

I want Super Sonic to glide over water which looks awesome like in Sonic Adventure

Since Modern Super Sonic has infinite boost, and boosting allows you to glide across water, then Super Sonic will glide over water but you'll have to keep boosting.

I hope they one bring back the dreaded E Rank.

So, I have watched some of the cutscenes, and here is somthing I want to say:

Warning: Major plot spoilers.

It seems that the people saying "Classic Eggman is the Time Eater" aren't quite right. It seems that Modern Eggman found the Time Eater, and went to his past self to get help in controling it. So, really, if either of the Eggmen are considered to be the Time Eater, it really should be Modern. But, I see why people say that Classic is the Time Eater, as he was kept hidden, so people saying "Classic Eggman is the Time Eater" are just saying that he is in, and one of the people behind the Time Eater.

As for E rank, I have no idea whether it is in this or not, but since there is S rank, D is basicaly the same as E.

Hopefully S ranks won´t be hard to get like in Colours

From what I'm seeing, you have to get an A rank, along with a perfect bonus to get an S rank. I think one of those bonuses include not taking ANY damage.

That IS the perfect bonus. It just adds a rank. If you have a B rank with a perfect bonus, you go to A. So, there you go.

So Metacritic gave this game an average of 77.
Do you guys think that it deserves this?

Actually, you get the perfect bonus from not dying in a level.

EDIT: Someone somhow found this:

Cyberman65 has the first 3 levels 100% up. S-Rank, all red Rings. Since I cant get the game, its nice seeing how it looks and this guy is seriously amazing at the game.

Yeah most of the modern Sonic games have the habit of resetting your score to 0 if you lose a life. That would almost always result in you getting a very poor ranking in the end.

Now with all statues.
I have no idea what purpose they serve, except for being decorations and showing some of the characters that haven't appeared anywhere else, such as Big and Jet.

Which is a pain
