Yes, get ONLY the Nintendo controllers. Make sure the white Nintendo Gamecube text is on top of your controller or else you got a crappy third party lookalike.

I know they do. My GameStop still has some Nintendo GCN controllers in stock, I think.
 
Make sure they have that white text. Phonies lack the white Nintendo Gamecube on top.

I got controllers off eBay. They've worked fine so far. They feel a little different, but my friends who dont use GCN controllers often usually use them. The only problem is the cord's kind of short but it's not too hard to move closer to the Wii or move the Wii closer.

So yeah, "Crappy Third-Party Lookalike"'s, not so crappy after all. I'd still stick to my original controller, but I'll use the other ones if I have to since their isn't much difference.
 
Nintendo controllers tend to last much longer than the third party ones. Usually, the control stick goes bad, the buttons get mucked up... in the third parties, I mean.

I kind of thought that was obvious.

But they work for now and since their cheap, if they muck up just buy another pair.
 
One Nintendo Gamecube Controller is worth more than 5 broken Third Party ones.

You want to buy the least you can. It's good for your money and the environment...

I'm not Yoshidude, but I know that you should use items that you get in first (not FIBs) to block reds. If a blue shell comes, don't sweat. Stay as close to the next turn as possible. Abuse the special your vehicle has (karts - SMTs bikes - wheelies)
