Mario Kart Wii discussion

I believe it was beat 8 or 12 staff ghosts. All of 'em are so easy :)
It was 8. And it's apart from Ghost Valley 2.

I think you should take a look on Mario wiki, not just ask us.

You guys said GV2 staff ghost is hard? Oh well, I have 55 seconds in there, so I have beaten the Expert Staff ghost by three secs?

SNES Ghost Valley 2 used to be hard for me. Now it is easy.
It was never hard for me. Sometimes I have very good races there and other times I do awful.

I used to fall off all the time. Also I win all the time with the Wild Wing.

That would be the case when no items intervene, but I'm sure that you lost a few times, due to some item attacks.

Spiny Shells are terrible items. They used to be awesome when on the ground, but when given wings, they're awful.

I hate this glitch in the game so that if the first place racer already passed the finish line and won the race, if you're in second place, the spiny shell will go after YOU instead. That's unfair. It also happens if both the first and second place people already passed the finish line.

The Mario Kart 64 variation could not go over huge gaps, which heavily limited its usage. The flying variation bypasses those obstacles, but its frequency should've been heavily dropped.

You can dodge them by using mushrooms but you can't get that in first.

That's true, but you do need to get lucky as well, since the mushroom boost won't always work. Oddly, in Double Dash!!, there are occasions where you can avoid Spiny Shells by drifting, but this occasion doesn't happen that often.

It's not a glitch, it's intended and has been like that since Mario Kart Double Dash

same here. I hate why it does that

Considering that the first place racer finished the race, he/she is no longer active in the race. Therefore, any new Spiny Shells will target the next leading active racer.
