Extended sypnosis for Keep Calm and Flutter On

"Princess Celestia has decided that the rambunctious Discord needs to be tamed and commissions the ponies for the job; Fluttershy believes that Discord deserves a second chance but she faces opposition as the only one who thinks so."

I actually just thought of something. This might be one of those rare times Twilight disagrees with a decision that Celestia made.

I'm still mostly curious however on why Celestia is trying to convert Discord to good in the first place. There's an ulterior motive somewhere. Whether that comes up in this episode only or as late as the Finale, I really want to see.

Wait, did he break out again? Was his statue taking up space? What's the deal?

I'm assuming Celestia freed him herself. For what reason is the question that's boggling my mind. And it might not be an answer we get straight from the episode. It does sound like something to wait for the Finale to answer.

There has to be some kind of reason for freeing who's essentially the god of chaos and trying to get them on their side. It just wouldn't seem right if there was no real reason for it.

I REALLY hope they explain why he's out, and explain why they can't just use the Elements of Harmony to stone him one more time. I REALLY don't want this to be an "oh now he's a good guy because whatever" deal, like the ending that was slapped onto Magic Duel. I WOULD like to say the show's writers are better than that... but Dave Polsky's writing this episode, so I'm not holding my breath.

In Return of Harmony, he really comes of as being rather cruel and sadistic, in that he broke the minds of the mane 6 (except Fluttershy, and to some extend Rarity) and forced them to go through painful experiences for them and go against their natural traits and personalities. He just comes off as the kind of guy who just doesn't care about anything. Which is probably why Celestia and Fluttershy want to teach him to be more considerate with his antics.

wouldn't leaving him encased in stone be better

I think this will be just like Magic Duel where they try too hard for fan service.
