Of course something like this would happen after all the good news we've received...Akane Owari said:http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/02/fighting-is-magic-receives-cease-desist.html?m=1
Sorry if this sound biased, unfair, and completely ignorant of how copyright laws work, but of all the bull*bleep* Hasbro's pulled, this is the biggest of them all. THIS is the one where I feel is the ultimate turn for the worse when it comes to Hasbro's "new direction" that's been going down, and has completely solidified my contempt for them.Akane Owari said:http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/02/fighting-is-magic-receives-cease-desist.html?m=1
HOW DARE THEY EXERCISE A FUNDAMENTAL CORPORATE RIGHT AGAINST PEOPLE WHO WERE USING THEIR CHARACTERS WITH OUT THERE PERMISSION HOW DARE THEYFennekin said:fuck.
I was even looking for the final release.
FUCK YOU HASBRO STOP BEING LIKE THOSE COPYRIGHT DICKS THAT APPEAR IN VIACOM AND SHOPRO!
Northern Verve said:I think I have to see the episode again. But the ending did seem pretty darn rushed. It kinda looked like the inspector talked with the pony that the Main 6 gave their welcome to and that was enough to convince her despite having overall a bad time.
Though I think overall it was an enjoyable episode though. The different angle from scenes that we saw for Just fofor Sidekicks was neat, some gags like Rainbow hitting the window was hilarious, and I kinda liked the fake games inspector's claustrophobia.

tis the principle of the matter good sir also just because one company is ok with something doesn't mean that every company has to follow that policyFennekin said:pfft.Mega Morg said:If I was Hasbro I would have done the same thing

they even stated that everything belonged to hasbro and they even added the habsro copyright thing to show that the ponies and the show aren't made by them.
besides it was non-profit.
nintendo and some other companies are a-ok about parodies and the like since it provides them with free publicity.
so the more the fanwork, the more are the chances of attracting people to try to play the game/watch the show/buy merchandise.

I have a question.
why were people outraged by alicorn twilight?
To add to that, it messes with the status quo. Which I honestly think can be good thing in any form of media as long as it doesn't go overboard. It helps prevent series stagnation.Northern Verve said:Fennekin said:Northern Verve said:Gotta say, I'm really looking forward to the Finale. Mainly because alot of those people who disapprove of it think it was mandated by Hasbro. Like Hasbro forced the staff to make Twilight an Alicorn just to sell toys. Or some even said it means she's leaving her friends behind.
I just think it adds a new dimension to future Twilight-centered episodes. I still expect to see Twilight there for her friends and having a good time come Season 4. I also think Twilight by now has definitely earned a status such as this based on what she's done already. Alicorn Twilight is totally legit as far as I'm concerned.
Isn't that ALWAYS the case with Dave Polsky episodeS?SiFi said:The episode was okay. Actually had me laughing at parts. But I felt that RD's "we screwed up" speech, and the resolution to it, was kind of clumsily handled.
