well now that's a shitty thing to wake up to

I think the thing that bums me out the most is how close the team was to finishing it. Hell, it almost made EVO.

Cool comic cover, but eh.

I think I have to see the episode again. But the ending did seem pretty darn rushed. It kinda looked like the inspector talked with the pony that the Main 6 gave their welcome to and that was enough to convince her despite having overall a bad time.

Though I think overall it was an enjoyable episode though. The different angle from scenes that we saw for Just fofor Sidekicks was neat, some gags like Rainbow hitting the window was hilarious, and I kinda liked the fake games inspector's claustrophobia.

Sorry if this sound biased, unfair, and completely ignorant of how copyright laws work, but of all the bull*bleep* Hasbro's pulled, this is the biggest of them all. THIS is the one where I feel is the ultimate turn for the worse when it comes to Hasbro's "new direction" that's been going down, and has completely solidified my contempt for them.

For *bleep*'s sake, IT WAS A NON-PROFIT FAN-MADE GAME! They were NOT going to get ANY money out of it whatsoever! There shouldn't be any reason why they'd tell them to stop doing it! And no, I don't buy the whole "they want to keep a consistent feel and this game clashes with what they want MLP to be", because *bleep* it, you can't police what everyone is going to do or say in regards to what you produce! These guys put hours, LITERALLY HOURS of work into this game, and Hasbro just drops by and tells them to stop, even though they have nothing to gain or lose out of this!

This, coupled with Ubisoft's dick move with Rayman Legends, and a bunch of other minor things that's been going on, has me in a pretty bad mood this week.

...Also, the new episode was okay. I HATE that Dave Polsky wrote it. Yeah, I'm sorry, I don't care if he's actually improved, I still don't like him as a writer, and I really don't feel like getting into it right now.

fuck.

I was even looking for the final release.

FUCK YOU HASBRO STOP BEING LIKE THOSE COPYRIGHT DICKS THAT APPEAR IN VIACOM AND SHOPRO!

The episode was okay. Actually had me laughing at parts. But I felt that RD's "we screwed up" speech, and the resolution to it, was kind of clumsily handled.

If I was Hasbro I would have done the same thing

Pretty much my thoughts.

Dave Polsky, huh? He sure got a lot of episodes this season, I think he did pretty good.

pfft.

they even stated that everything belonged to hasbro and they even added the habsro copyright thing to show that the ponies and the show aren't made by them.

besides it was non-profit.

nintendo and some other companies are a-ok about parodies and the like since it provides them with free publicity.

so the more the fanwork, the more are the chances of attracting people to try to play the game/watch the show/buy merchandise.

tis the principle of the matter good sir also just because one company is ok with something doesn't mean that every company has to follow that policy

Ok, I'm going to say this as nicely as I possibly can.

Hasbro, fuck you, you cocksucking motherfucking cunts. This shit really pisses me off.

And, um, tits.

Gotta say, I'm really looking forward to the Finale. It seems much of the Alicorn Twilight rage has slowed down. So maybe it was a good thing that happened then, instead of it being a total surprise and the mix of emotions going after the episode finishes.

I do wonder how exactly it's going to be paced. I mean you have two major things going on. The whole thing about the switching of the Cutie Marks, and then you have Twilight ascending into godhood a Princess. Doesn't sound like it's going to be easy to cover in 22 minutes. I hope the TV movie possibly is an expansion somewhere about Twilight's new status.

I have a question.

why were people outraged by alicorn twilight?

Mainly because alot of those people who disapprove of it think it was mandated by Hasbro. Like Hasbro forced the staff to make Twilight an Alicorn just to sell toys. Or some even said it means she's leaving her friends behind.

I just think it adds a new dimension to future Twilight-centered episodes. I still expect to see Twilight there for her friends and having a good time come Season 4. I also think Twilight by now has definitely earned a status such as this based on what she's done already. Alicorn Twilight is totally legit as far as I'm concerned.

To add to that, it messes with the status quo. Which I honestly think can be good thing in any form of media as long as it doesn't go overboard. It helps prevent series stagnation.

Is there any indication whatsoever that it'll be a permanent thing?

Isn't that ALWAYS the case with Dave Polsky episodeS?

Did he write "Over a Barrel"? I think the resolution to that one totally worked because everyone loves apple pie. Unless they don't, but those people are jerks.

Exactly. Something of this kind of stuff has kinda already changed within the show already. In Lesson Zero, the status quo of "Only Twilight writes the letters" was changed to "Anypony can write the letters". Which may be miniscule compared to making Twilight an Alicorn, was still a pretty decisive change that not alot of shows similar to FiM do.
