Did it end last year? If not, it qualifies.

wait, are you complaining about them being on because they're messing with the rankings of your favorite show?

if so, that's pretty biased

Finally had enough time to watch Daring Don't. Yeah, you think you're always late Smashgoom, trying waiting the day before the new episode. Even though Rainbow Dash is probably my least favorite of the mane six, her episodes are top notch.

I love how excited Rainbow Dash is over this book, four months before its release date. Of course, to me, anyone excited in any book makes me excited. The book was delayed and Rainbow Dash suggested that she should do all the housework of A.K. Yearling (I'm pretty sure that's how you spell it [I also like how it sounds similar to J. K. Rowling {I actualy thought they did say J. K. Rowling at first, silly me}]). Everyone agrees, even Twilight, although very reluctantly.
So they get there, and the house is a mess. I don't think they said or maybe I missed them saying whether the house is normally that messy, or it was because of someone else besides Yearling. Either way, a messy house sounds just about right. Rainbow Dash was on cloud nine because she was seeing her idol. So excited, that Twilight was forced to take Rainbow Dash out, which I found hilarious.
Then the villains appeared to steal the golden ring Yearling has, and she revealed herself to be Daring Do, which I did not expect, although I probably would've if I did see any of the promos. I thought that was quite nice. Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and myself were all fangirling over that. And they just sat back while the villains beat up Daring Do and stole the ring. Although it adds conflict in the plot, you would think that magic of the likes of Twilgiht could've stopped them in a second. Bad move.
Over the next couple of minutes, lots of action. Daring Do insists on working alone, but Rainbow Dash is very eager to help, which annoys Daring Do. Long episode summarized: Daring Do and Rainbow Dash work together to save the day. And because of that, Daring Do learned that working together can be good, Rainbow Dash learned she was awesome again, and Rainbow Dash was in the next book. I'm jealous.
The whole theme of this episode is meeting your idol and seeing that s/he isn't all like what you thought him/her to be. One of the more uncommon theme, but I enjoyed it. So yeah, I loved it, and I hope someday they they make a sequel to that one too.

Main 4? I thought it was Main 6 xD

Anyway, tomorrow's going to be... interesting to say the least. We get to learn if Scootaloo is truly disabled or not.

Also I thought Rarity was your least favorite. What changed? xP

(To be honest Rainbow's actually raised higher up recently. She was very abrasive and sometimes quite an asshole in Season 1 and early Season 2. But Hurricane Fluttershy, Wonderbolt Academy, her reaction to Twilight's ascension in MMC, and even her fangirl tendencies in Daring Don't really have made me like her more then before. Right now she's competing with Fluttershy for my 2nd favorite pony, I'd say)

Oh yeah, Rarity used to be my least favorite. That was before I watched all episodes, and my initial reaction towards Rarity was very negative. But the very few Rarity episodes there are, I absolutely loved. Especially the one where those dogs captured her. Also, it's one of the very few times where I actually enjoy the romantic subplot, in this case, between Rarity and Spike.

Yeah A Dog and Pony Show was the episode that Rarity did really start getting awesome. All her following ones are pretty enjoyable too. It's hard to believe though there hasn't been a Rarity centric episode since Episode 9 of Season 2

Good thing Episode 8 of Season 4 will change that!

ok as a non-brony i have to ask this question

what in the world is it that you like about rarity? she always seems annoying and pointless

maybe it's because my personality is the exact opposite of the "prim and proper perfectionist", but i just can't see any reason why people like her

Well she not my favorite, and doesn't come close to being as good as my favorite Twilight, but she's not the worst for me. There are many times where she seems like an annoying stuck-up character, but she, like almost all the characters, have their moments to shine and show their inner personality, which Rarity represents the trait Generosity and becomes one of the most caring and kind characters in the show. Although, none of the Mane Six stay true to their traits completely, and Rarity probably does it the least or one of the least. In episodes about her, you truly see the generosity she has, and for me, that is why I like her. The transformation and advancement of character in Rarity is great.

This is what actually most Bronies though of Rarity early on in the show... until Suited for Success and A Dog and Pony Show turned that around for them.

Suited for Success in particular shows Rarity's lifestyle isn't just an obsession with fashion. It's her career. She's like an artist in this degree. And she's relatable in Suited for Success because the others of the Mane 6 act as people who are too specific or too broad with what they want that they don't understand that their nitpicks and what they think is the perfect dress/artwork/etc. are not what's best. (Ex: Rainbow Dash just wants her dress to be "20% cooler" without actually saying anything about what she means. Fluttershy when pressured gives a detailed list of nitpicky problems she has with the dress.) For an artist who deals with people like that, Rarity suddenly becomes a very relatable character to many.

I think she's even better though in both Sisterhooves Social (She participates in a race with a deal with Applejack in order to prove to Sweetie Belle, her younger sister, that she cares about her when earlier in the episode they had a very relatable sibling argument.) and Sweet and Elite (The last Rarity-centric episode we've had. Where Rarity has trouble balancing her dream of hanging with the upper class of Canterlot and being there for one of her friend's (Twilight's) birthday. Again very relatable in terms of "personal desire" vs. "special time with your friends" as Rarity's afraid she'll look selfish in front of her friends if she decides to stay in Canterlot instead of attend Twi's birthday party.)

yeah rarity is really the most helpful and caring of the mane 6, i'd think, and besides fashion she also has to manage her relationships with both her friends and her sister, and there's really a lot of unexplored potential with her

that said, i haven't watched mlp in forever, not counting the season 4 premiere, so who knows

Well, Rarity seems to have one of the better built character with personality and stuff. I mean, Fluttershy seems to always be shy though she does get loud at times; Rainbow Dash is usually spunky, fangirlish easily, and hides whatever will make her girly; Applejack is the classic tomboy ranch girl that doesn't mind getting dirty and being kind but honest; Pinky Pie is just the crazy party girl that literally is mostly comic relief (though many of her episodes show a deep side to her as well); Twilight Princess is definitely one for knowledge, knowing stuff and using her knowledge to teach others to help them all out, being overprepared and overworried about very minor things, and really does look out for her friends.

Rarity has always been one of those that seem like a stuck-up, overdramatic drama-queen that just cares about what she wants. But then you get to really see her, and what she does to help others, and how caring she really is to help people in need. Like, Rarity has a very interesting character because it's almost an oxymoron. It's why it's so interesting to see Rarity. Now, Rarity is not one of my top ponies on my list (I think she's probably 4th on it, above Applejack and Pinkie Pie), but it's always nice to see that she is a part of the main cast with her style. Honestly, all of them together just make the show worthwhile, and really having different personalities. Again, shows how people of different interests and personalities can still be best friends. Rarity alone would probably be annoying, but she really adds to the mix about being a bit of the overdramatic and really perfectionist touch while still being a caring and true friend to others. It's a shame that when we think of people like Rarity that we think that all they are is stuck-up drama queens that are just petty. Sadly though a lot of them are, but it really does show that people like that can have a deep and lovable personality beneath if you get to know them.

I never liked Rarity but that's because I haven't watched this show much

no, I'm complaining because it's a 6-year-old tv show in a category otherwise consisting of relatively new content.

also my favorite cartoon is in a solid second place, so I don't know where you're coming from in that regard.

Been a while since I last posted here, but since you guys are talking about how you guys like each of the mane 6...

To me:

1: Fluttershy
2: Twilight
3: Rarity
4: Pinkie Pie
5: Applejack
6: Rainbow Dash

I'm able to relate to Fluttershy in several ways; I consider myself as a passive, quiet, yet kind person (and Fluttershy represents the element of Kindness, which probably suits me the best). =P
She's adorable as well, and in Equestria Girls, when her human counterpart grew wings, she became a million times more adorable. :3

I always found Twilight and her magic spells awesome, not really sure what else I can say on her. =P
I find her obsession about being organized rather hilarious at times though.

I hated Rarity at first as well, but since "Art of the Dress" and "A Dog and Pony Show", I grew to like her more, especially after her "whining" and her "Art of the Dress" song.
Speaking of songs... I ALWAYS loved Rarity's singing voice. Most beautiful one of them IMO. :')
^I kind of wish Rarity was more involved in helping in conflicts though. Like in the Season 2 finale, when the mane 6 was fighting the Changelings, she doesn't really get her own scene (you just see a picture of her smacking one like several times). In Equestria Girls with the "keep away the crown" scene, she doesn't try to help until Applejack manages to pass it to her. And in the previous episode, Daring Don't, you don't see her helping in keeping away the rings until the very end of that scene. =P

I like Pinkie Pie for being the "logic-defying" character, and plus I always loved her Pinkie Sense. She also represents the element of laughter, which suits me as well. That Smile Song was amazing as well, and I swear it would fit so well with me. XD
I love it when she defies gravity, especially in Equestria Girls when she stole the crown from Snips.

I like Applejack, and I still do, but I just prefer the other ponies' personalities. I love her singing voice too. :p

I hated Rainbow Dash for being rather arrogant, reckless, and obnoxious, and I still do, but my hate has dwindled down much more since I first started watching the show. I'm glad they toned down this side of her. Although I do like how she's the best in terms of the conflict scenes, and I love the tricks she's capable of doing when she flies.
Although I will say... I prefer the human Rainbow Dash over pony Rainbow Dash a LOT more. She was a LOT more supportive and still maintained her "awesome" personality, but wasn't being so arrogant either.

First CMC episode of the season. Yeah! It was just as good as last week's episode. Despite there being a complete lack of Twilight.

A schoolwide compitition to audition for who's going to be the flag carrier. Sounds simple enough. Rainbow Dash is going to be the coach. And the pony in charge told her to be professional, which Rainbow Dash here on out tries to do, but her excitement is always to high. It made me laugh a couple of times.
The CMC all work together to try to win the compitition. And their theme is brilliant and highly likely to please everyone. They are going to represent the three species of ponies: earth, unicorns, and pegasi.
The song, which I'm not sure what the title of it is. It's probably called "Hearts as Strong as Horses", was pretty good. I find it funny that in the montage sequence they are great singers, but it has been showed the the only CMC that can sing is Sweetie Bell.
After the CMC show their act to Rainbow Dash, and Diamand Tiara and Silver Spoon spying, all three agree that it is beautiful. So Diamand and Silver of course tries to sabatoge their act. They may be villainous, but one thing they can really do well is create self-doubt. They say if Scootaloo cannot fly, she is unfit to represent the Pegasi in Ponyville. Scootaloo foolishly believes this and pushed herself and the others to be better and change the beautiful act. Scootaloo tries to fly again and again and again, only to meet failure. Which makes me wonder if she is disabled, or maybe she's just a little underdeveloped. I guess the fanon will continue and/or become stronger.
Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom are angry and Scootaloo for messing up their act and leaves on the train to the Crystal Empire without her. When Rainbow Dash here's about this, they all leave the train and go back to Ponyville. There, Scootaloo throws away her posters and *gasp* her scooter. They talk things out and Scootaloo realized that what Diamand Tiara and Silver Spoon said is bull.
To get back, Scootaloo uses her scooter to drag Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom who are on skies. She realizes that if she flaps her wings hard, she can go much much faster. So her wings aren't useless after all. They compete and, of course, they win.
Then, at the very end, Scootaloo looks at her flank, and says something like "You know what this means?" And I held my breath, hoping very hard that Scootaloo will discover her talent is with Scooters. And then: "We can get our Cutie Marks with Flag Carrying". I exhaled and facepalmed. Oh well.
A very enjoyable episode indeed.

Ugh, CMC episodes have a knack of being predictable. This one's no different.

As a non brony I can say it's because her episodes are the best written and her character is the only one that isn't terrible

Not too bad of a showing for a new writer ^^

This is just going on first impressions, as I feel this is an episode needs at least one or two more watches to really think about it.

But it was a good episode for CMC episode standards. It's certainly better then One Bad Apple, but I think it falls short of being ahead of Sleepless in Ponyville.

The song "Hearts as Strong as Horses" I feel isn't as catchy and just bland compared to Babs Seed and Perfect Stallion.

It actually left things vague on whether or not Scoot is disabled or not. Though the only way she could not be Disabled is if she is a late bloomer. If she is disabled though I think it's alot better considering Scoots is still treated like any other pony besides for the bullying from Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. It'd show just how accepting Equestria can be and probably even makes the Ponyville representation with the flag carrying even better then having a Pegasus. They'd be representing Ponyville with a pegasus that has trouble, but still willing to use them as a symbol because of how accepting Ponyville is. More then just the three races of Ponyville.

Probably the best part of the episode was Rainbow Dash's actions at the end where he tells the CMC to go back and helps & comforts Scoot in her room. Rainbow Dash even saying that Scoots is awesome whether she's able to fly or not. And that's really all that matters here. Granted the ending feels a tad rushed since we didn't really see Diamond and Silver's nor Snips and Snails' performances. But it's a much better ending then the previous Equestria Games related episode in Games Ponies Play where the inspector despite being treated horribly gives Crystal Empire the Games anyway. (Even Dave Polsky on Twitter had to say that the ending was a result of Season 3 being under a tight schedule)

I think I need to watch it again to really give anything on everything else. But anyway. It's a good CMC episode. The new writer didn't do too much that was amazing but he never did anything that was too questionable either.

I'm quite excited for the next episode. Spike-centric but also have the Mane 6 as Superheroes. Did anyone catch the promo that had what seems to be...

Flutterhulk?!

the only one of the main six that i can tolerate is applejack, and occasionally rainbow dash
