I'll have a detailed sheet for when I set up the thread in Fan Creations. And you don't have to worry too much about time, as you practically have the entire winter to think about it.

Ok, then.

And I've been thinking about the next episode, and people have been saying something about maybe we'll have Photo Finish, or whatever her name was, but we could also have that guy from the episode where Rarity makes dresses for her friends to wear at the Gala.

We need more episodes starring me! What did I, have like 2-3 episodes starring me so far? :S.
i support this. More Pinkie Pie!
Also, does anypony wants a scootaloo episode? She's the only CMC that hasn't got one.

No. I just find the CMC annoying.

Tomorrow's a Rarity episode. We obviously know what her choice will be in the end, we just need to see how it goes. Rarity episodes also tend to be fun to watch.

What I think will happen in the next episode is the Rarity will first go to Canterlot, then realise that's not where she belongs, and go home.

also, i found something quite interesting about discord, and a pretty good explanation of his appearance

Where are the diamond dogs?

Oh my there's plenty to love about today's episode

Rarity being awesome as usual
Twilight's Birthday
PARTY CANNON
Cameos from some popular Background Ponies plus celebrity ponies like Hoity Toity and Photo Finish
The "Oh shit" factor you get as soon as you see that the other 5 are heading into the rich Ponies party and as expected it was the Best Night Ever again in a nutshell
Plus at least we know at least some of those rich ponies aren't as snooty. Seriously the Pony that accepted Rarity and her friends deserves some good treatment from the fanbase. If he isn't shipped with everypony first
Just overall a good episode, I'll see some more details later on a 2nd viewing in a good quality.

This episode. Monocles and tophats everywhere. :poshjr:

I liked pretty much everything about this one, especially how all of the Canterlot ponies have that stereotypical snooty rich person voice. Song was good, too.

It might be a while before a High Quality episode is up though. It will still be up today but the person who normally puts up the HD vids so quickly went to a funeral for his Grandfather who passed away recently. And you know, Family before Ponies. (Or anything for that matter)

Right, Sweet and Elite. I'm a little pissed off because my computers acting like a bitch and I ended up having re-write my feelings all over again, even though it's hard to re-convey them. (heads up, wall of text ahead)

After immediately watching the first episode, I didn't think I liked it, but after watching it again immediately afterward, I've grown to say that I like it more than The Mysterious Mare Do Well, but less than The Cutie Pox. I enjoyed it too a point, but it's not an episode I'll get excited over anytime soon.

I mostly didn't like it the first time because I thought the lies Rarity made would blow up in her face spectacularly, but it didn't really. In fact, Twilight and her friends were really understanding about what Rarity is doing and that helps reinforce why they're such good friends.

The animation in the episode was really good, in my opinion, particularly what they did with the mouths. The mouths are really starting to grow on me, in that there's a lot more variety and more expressions they can pull off with them compared to season 1.

The song, I wasn't too sure at first. But by the end of it, I loved it. Rarity singing is always good, especially with that singing voice of her and her cute and pretty outfits!

If there's one thing I've learned through this episode, though, it's about the nobility and upper-class ponies of Equestria, particularly in Canterlot. This was hinted at in Green Isn't Your Color and The Best Night Ever, but the nobility and upper class ponies of Equestria are nothing but a bunch of shallow-minded, self-absorbed sheep that immediately follow the flock and go with anything said by a pony of very high status. The two main antagonistic ponies of this episode (their names escape me, even though they were mentioned at least twice in this episode) are the best examples of this: laughing at Rarity and her friends status as Ponyville citizens and mocking Twilight's outfit, only to immediately flip-flop their stance as soon as Fancy Pants said it was nice. That's part of why I like Fancy Pants, he's actually able to think for himself and make his own decisions, and accepts Rarity because of her amazing talents, even if he did only give her a second glance because she has ties with Princess Celestia.

That's another thing I've learned, the nobility and upper class of Equestria don't care about the world around them. They're like the Upper City people of Skies of Arcadia, so entranced with their social life and status that they don't even notice if the world is falling apart around them. Hence why none of the ponies there immediately recognized Rarity or any of the other Mane 6 as the heroines that defeated Nightmare Moon and Discord. I'm probably overthinking this, but I prefer this explanation as opposed to the more likely explanation that the writers didn't bother to think that the Mane 6 should be world-famous heroes by this point.

Speaking of world famous, Photo Finish and Prince Blueblood appeared in this episode but not Hoity Toity. That's strange, considering that he's the who gave Rarity her big break by featuring her designs in his "Best of the Best Boutique in Canterlot". In fact, that's another weird thing, don't these ponies realize that she's the one who designed those awesome dresses? Well, given the fact that their self-absorbed and only follow/buy what's popular, they were probably blinded by arrogance to notice it's her, and probably wouldn't have worn/noticed the outfits if someone of higher standing didn't wear them. It doesn't matter, as I see it, that probably would have distracted us form the main point, anyway. Still, disappointed to see no Hoity Toity.

Final thoughts: liked the episode, thought Rarity's outfits were cute, thought the song was good, and Pinkie Pie is awesome as always.

Edit: OH CRAP I ALMOST FORGOT! Octavia re-appears in this episode! Hell yeah, she's my favorite background pony!

I really liked this episode, more so than a lot of other recent ones. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time xD

Also Hoity Troity, Photo Finish and Octavia all made cameo's. And finally we got a real song again (that "find a pet" opera doesn't count). While not as catchy as other songs, I quite liked it.

It's really too bad I was forced to watch this episode in such low quality.

And finally:

I will require fan art of this. Rarity looks amazing like this ^^

I thought it was mostly good. It was nice to see som more info of Canterlot. That said, the Rarity episodes are kind of getting old on me. They seem to all be about her neglecting what she should be doing, and end in ponies requesting her dresses (and mysteriously the shipments never seem to come through.) The song was also nice, but not as catchy as Winter Wrap-Up...
