I've seen some episodes of Adventure Time and Regular Show but as amusing as it sometimes was I didn't fell like I'd be excited to see the next episode anytime soon. FiM has everything you can ask for in a good cartoon. Even if you don't exactly see it yourself because perhaps some of the vocal minority of the fandom has blinded your judgement.

You don't get it, do you?

Anyway, I'm not just judging the fans, I'm also judging the show itself! It's not THAT great! I just don't see all the humor, the "strong characterization", and all those other things the fans talk about all the time when they talk about the show itself!

Generally, I like funny cartoons, but I do recognize all the other tropes and such used in them.

Yeah we get it you're basically saying it's Overrated. We're fine with that we really are, but you don't need to start raising a fuss like Javelin did earlier in this thread long ago.

Well, mmkay then. I'll go watch something else then.

I don't even know why I called myself a "brony" before.

Also, stating contrasting opinions does not equal trolling!

Look at this before you encounter a real troll.

That is true. Stating contrasting opinions is NOT trolling.

Posting over and over again how much you dislike a series and how much you regret watching it, and how much you hate the fans, in a thread dedicated to that series, filled with fans of that series, however, IS trolling.

Hey, I was simply replying to your guys' replies while expressing said opinion.

I'm not saying it's terrible, it's just really bland for something so hyped.

Oh herp derp I just hate the show because of the fandom derp but don't care about the actual cartoon.
I can actually COMPLETELY understand that kind of thinking. As Yahtzee would put it "nothing ruins a good thing more than knowing you share the same opinion as several hundred dipshits" (talking about Portal and the amount of people who still think saying "The cake is a lie" is funny).

It's kind of true, fans and fandoms can be one of the worst things to happen to... Well, anything. Sure most/some of them actually just like the show or whatever, but then there are those kinds of fans who feel elitist, who feel their fan appreciation is some kind of entitlement. And then there's the fans who hate everything about the show yet still claim to be fans... This usually happens with the older fans, and fans who've been with the show the longest, and somehow feel that nothing will ever top what got them into the series.

In short: fans are a strange and very annoying bunch.

Alright getting back on topic. There was a release of an extended sypnosis for Episode 11 of FiM

In “Hearth’s Warming Eve” the six friends are honored to put on Canterlot's most important play of the season, the Hearth's Warming Eve's holiday pageant that illustrates how Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth Ponies put aside their differences and founded Equestria.

Interesting, it seems there was some sort of dispute between the 3 types of Ponies long ago. This makes things more interesting then before. Why did they have troubles with eachother? And how exactly did they bring peace?

That's cool... Although I'd also like to know how the collective group of Earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasi treat and are treated by other sentient species...

...Like, oh, dragons, for example.

Please don't make me be the pony police here. You have every right to express your dislike for the show, fandom, whatever. Just don't be so, well, annoying about it. I really don't want this to escalate into "Javelin, Round 2".

@ Lario & Mario&Luigi: I'm gonna tell you two the same thing I told him. Look at what SolarBlaze did waaaaaay back on page 1 of this thread. He came in, said his peace, and it was over. He never came back. Learn from example.

New episode sounds neat. I'm always a sucker for history/backstory kinds of things.

Well, a bit late with all this other stuff, but I just watched the new episode.

There was some nice stuff in there, with those cameos and things, but I didn't see the pony from the episode where Rarity makes dresses for all her friends. And I didn't really excpect the others to come to Canterlot for Twilights birthday.

And we also seem to be having a lot of birthdays, with Gummy, Pinkie, Twilight, and I think Spike's is in the next episode.

Hmmm, I wonder whether Celestia was around back then, or if some other ruler made peace.

Did anoyone else see Lyra in a tophat and Sapphire Shores in that episode?

I never thought I'd post in here, but you are officially my favourite user of the day just for that post. Not being sarcastic or anything.

Personally I hate the fanon-obsessed part of the fandom. Giving personalities to background characters is stupid.

And while FiM might not be as funny as other cartoons, I still find it enjoyable. Plus the songs are a big +1 to me.

Also, Lario said something about tropes? The last guy I met who watched and hated mlp said the same thing. I guess tvtropes really do ruin your life: not being able to just enjoy cartoons without constantly paying attention to the tropes used.

^Or perhaps some people just don't like the show. That's a possibility for why someone doesn't enjoy or even outright hates a cartoon. But you know, I'm just a crazy swagman; what do I know!

You don't really need to put "I didn't like it" in a spoiler :|

Also, just watched it. It was alright, not really one of my favorite episodes. I think it was probably my least favorite of the season, actually. It wasn't a bad episode, and I still liked it. I just didn't think it was one of the better ones.

That's kinda strange Smasher and Vinnie. Judging by most people's reaction, fans were quite fond of yesterday's episode. But no matter.

I didn't see Lyra in a Top Hat but I did catch Sapphire Shores, along with Hoity Toity and Photo Finish during the song.
