I WOULD watch it if it wasn't so freaking long! I'm not using my own computer since it's busted at the moment...
 
I can understand that lol by the time all the parts are released it might be longer then the average movie.
 
I would rather have that they made a rom out of it for people to play, rather than a 70 minute movie I'm not going to watch.

Anyway, less then a week to the next episode. It's Apple Pie month now, you know why? 3 Apple family related episodes plus one Pinkie Pie episode. Hehe.
 
I watched the whole thing (Jesus it was long) and it was pretty interesting. I can see why it took so long to long to make. I'm excited for the 3rd and 4th part.

I've never liked Trixie from the show and she's just as annoying in this video. Though I suppose that means they did a good job. And the ending of this part it's not even worth using the spoilers to tell you guys. Again like the first video, the voices for the Ponies aren't perfect but they're decent imitations.

While that won't exactly happen. There is a fanmade Phoenix Wright-like game coming up. Although there's no court cases as it's more on investigation and interrogation instead. You play as Twilight as you try to discover the mystery on who stole one of Rarity's gemstones from Carousel Boutique. It's not out yet, but if you're interested there's a few demo videos out there.
 
Ooh. On the subject of fangames, is anyone else other than me excited to play Fighting is Magic? Game looks awesome.

You know, today I watched Dinosaur Train, and it really brought out the difference between a kids' show and MLP. Kid's shows are unrealistic jaunts of people with high pitched voices. They rarely make sense and hardwire bad decisions into kid's brains - for instance, in the case of The Wonder Pets, that you can spend your whole life singing even in a dangerous situation, and there will still be time to draw a magical bridge with your crayons to save the platypus or whatever. No, shows aren't supposed to be realistic but they should at least make sense, and most MLP episodes do make sense to a certain extent. The difference between a real kid's show and MLP... I don't know, it just feels interesting.

Just seeing the last 5 minutes of the Strawberry Shortcake show before a Friendship is Magic episode airs on the HUB reveals the difference to me... it's relieving and scary at the same time that FiM could have turned out like that. CGI and all. We should be very thankful Hasbro hired a veteran team that included Lauren Faust, Rob Renzetti and more. The animators as well, the show is entirely made in Flash and the animators could have gone lazy if they wanted to. But instead FiM (For the most part, there is the occasional goof) has amazing animation. It makes you realize for cartoons made in Flash, it's not just Flash that makes cartoons look dull in the animation but it's also the animator's fault.
 
The graphics don't really matter too much to me. I'm talking about the overall style of the show.
 
Tomorrow's the new episode. I wonder if we'll get a glimpse of a family for another Pony even if of course it's not going to be the focus. A possibility even if it's for a short time is learning what Scootaloo's parents or family are. Applebloom has the whole Apple Family, Sweetie has Rarity and of course their parents. But we still have no idea where Scootaloo comes from.

Though getting to know a little more about Granny Smith sounds cool anyway.
 
Why would Scootaloo need a confirmed family? Rainbow Dash doesn't have a confirmed family. Fluttershy doesn't have a confirmed family. Spike doesn't have a confirmed family. I don't see why they need them.

Yeah.... about that. It's nice to know that not all 3 of the kids main characters are not just little sisters of the main cast. But I'd still like to know more about how Scoots lives. We've known Applebloom has the entire Apple family since the first episode, we know Sweetie Belle is being taken care of by Rarity's Mom and Tom Selleck Dad. But we have no idea how Scootaloo lives so far.

And I'm not going to read any fanfics where she's an orphan. That will just make me sadface.

I'm pretty sure it's more important because Scootaloo is a kid. Rainbow and Fluttershy are (We can assume) young adults who no longer need their parents. And Spike has Twilight
 
Just saw the newest episode, it was good... I just saw it, so it's hard for me to really say what I thought about it...

Granny Smith is a silly kind of senile, even of some of the things she does is justified. Still, old people could be a lot more funny:


I liked that we got a little bit of history with the founding of Ponyville. It looks like the Apple Family is responsible for founding quite a few towns in Equestria, like Appleloosa and now Ponyville.

I also liked how even though Diamond Tiara's a bitchy brat, her family, or at least her father, is pretty reasonable and an okay guy, despite his name (Filthy Rich, :P ).

I knew the Zap Apple subplot was more than just a means to keep Applejack and Big Macintosh out of the picture for most of the episode, and I like the creative means they use to invent how Zap Apples work, especially the Timber Wolves. The pink dots, though, that was pushing it...

More Cutie Mark Crusaders antics, that's cute, especially with Sweetie Belle! :))

But what really gets to me is that there was no Friendship lesson! What the heck? The lesson WAS kind of obvious, but still, I'm surprised Apple Bloom didn't think to write to Princess Celestia about it...

Then again, Princess Celestia probably already knew about Granny Smith, given that Granny Smith actually met her in her youth. Actually, that's something I thought was interesting; Celestia noticed that they were tired from traveling so, instead of inviting them to live in her big, comfy castle, she sends them to a big patch of dirt and trees, RIGHT NEXT TO a forest containing a bunch of dangerous creatures. Umm... Thanks?

(Please reframe for "Trollestia strikes again" jokes)

Ah, well, if she didn't do that, Ponyville wouldn't of been founded, so it all worked out I suppose.

Overall, a nice episode, I enjoyed it fairly well.
 
I'm going to wait a bit before saying my full thoughts. But this was a very sweet and interesting episode. If you're a sucker for history, you're not going to want to miss this. There was also a few quirky things to the episode that made it interesting. But the best part for sure is the 2nd half of the episode.

EDIT: On another note though, Only Applejack of the Main 6 appears. So... it looks like I'll be keeping the Rotating Avatar for another week.
 
It would actually be nice to see more of the secondary characters. This episode was sweet (except Diamond Tiara, now I hate that bitch even more), and geriatric humor is something that I personally always liked.
