I'm not sure if Rarity could be a fourteen to sixteen year old and be completely independent, run a business all on her own and take care of a sister and a cat.

I don't really care about their ages. Princess Celesta is thousand(s?) of years old so what if the Mane 6 are a few centuries old each and the fillies are each about a century old?

I know that's probably not the case (especially since Celestia is a special case yada yada yada) but they're not people. I like to estimate they're in the age range of "young adults" but that's just me. How old is Bugs Bunny?

Yeah the Main 6 are easily at about the Young Adult age. All 6 of them are out of school and have a job. (Twilight's still a student but she's the equivalent of a College student so she still fits).

From there though you can't really decipher which of the Main 6 is older then the other. Though most people guess that either Fluttershy or Rarity are the oldest, Twilight and Applejack down the middle, and either Pinkie or Rainbow as the youngest.

I think we can eventually start doing a process of elimination if we want to find out their ages compared to each other. Didn't Fluttershy once say she was older than one of the other ponies?

You're forgetting your own motto "Love and Tolerance".
Pwned, bronies. Pwned.

That's... not really pwned. It's just the guy pussying out by saying that if you promote "love and tolerance" you can't ever be unhappy about anything ever, which is bullshit.

I mean, I'm not even a brony, and I think that's kind of obvious.

I'm a brony, and I always thought the "love & tolerance" policy was BS, especially from those who tend to preach it, only to do the exact opposite.

If they did promote love and tolerance, they wouldn't have changed Derpy on iTunes.

Not to mention, they wouldn't have reacted the way they did to the actual modification! ESPECIALLY to those people who actually didn't like the original scene. Seriously, they were telling them to go KILL themselves, saying loathsome and hurtful things, all because of a modified scene of a fictional, non-existenct pony.

"Love and tolerate" my ass.

That was general stupidity from users on dA. Some people there go to death threats when someone makes an art of a Shipping pairing they don't like :/

deviantART or not, it still proves my point, "love and tolerance" was nothing but a shallow meme played with on 4chan to suddenly being associated with Bronies, even though the actual policy held no water to begin with.

Really? Because I always thought the ages being, from youngest to oldest: Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Twilight. Although the first/second, third/fourth, and fifth/sixth could be switched.

Finally an official message from Hasbro:

http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/02/gawkers-article-on-friendship-is-magic.html

So basically yes, Hasbro caved to a vocal minority. :-\

...Wait a minute!

The 'My Little Pony Friendship is Magic' series has always been about acceptance and inclusion, and the series strives to convey that through the playful antics of a diverse cast of characters," Hasbro spokeswoman Nicole Angello told us over email. "Some viewers felt that aspects of the episode 'The Last Roundup' did not stay true to the core message of friendship which is the heart and soul of the series. Hasbro Studios decided to make slight audio alterations to this single episode.

...So they they helped convey a message of acceptance and inclusion... by removing Derpy's individual traits.

...Does anyone else see anything WRONG with this?!

Yeah sure, we'll accept a small part of the community but reject the majority.

I always found it ironic how active Dr. Javelin has been in these threads, but he rarely posts in the Homestuck thread.

Yeah I question that message too in both in what it's saying and if it's even legit. That's not exactly the message that we were looking for. Also on another forum someone pointed out that there was no source for this

But even so, I'd like this whole ordeal to be over with. In a few days we have a Fluttershy episode coming up. Why don't we start talking about that?

EDIT: Also I think it's kinda odd that Hasbro would choose Gawker over something like giving an official message to Equestria Daily about it. Hasbro has contacted EqDaily before. I don't know why for once they choose this random website.

Yes. You aren't accepting or tolerating the fact that they decided to do this. :smug:

(seriously though could you move past the raeg phase of Derpy like the others have)

A fair point, but I'm not really keeping up with Homestuck much anymore, so...

I do pop in to chat about the older acts from time to time, though.

Javelin, fuck off. I don't give a shit what you think it is, your passive-aggressiveness is an incredibly thinly veiled attempt to bait bronies into massive arguments, so just get out.

The rest of you, just ignore him. Holy shit.

...but I'm really not alone in this thread in suggesting that the whole hype about Derpy is ridiculous. SM was the one who posted that image earlier, a brony-made image that was mocking the others for freaking out.

So I'm pretty sure I'm innocent here, unless someone who's an actual brony has a problem with my comments.
