Mario Kart 7

The only thing I don't like about it is that you lose some coins.

That's no big deal, there are still plenty after the third checkpoint

I know, but it always irks me knowing I have to get some more.

I hate it when you have 10 coins, get hit with a shell and fall in a pit/lava/etc.

You lose 6 Coins and need to catch up.

Oh yes I agree with you. For me, when I farm coins, that is so bad. I also hate the Lightning Bolt before the finish line thing because I farm for coins now.

I found out in Balloon Battle that if you get hit midair and fall into a pit, you don't lose two balloons, you lose only 1, even after Lakitu picks you up.

Farming coins is usually the necessary option in order to get all kart parts. And it isn't that fun.

Considering that you can't do Coin Runners to do this, that is a major fact. And of course, you can only hold up to 10 in GPs.

Why can't they convert points earned in Battle Mode and Coin Runners to Coins? It would make the process less tedious.

Or make you hold more than 10 coins. Come on, why not the limit at 20 or even 40.

In Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, you can normally hold up to 100 rings per race. Of course, those games actually have a shop, which Mario Kart 7 lacks.

There shouldn't be a limit, but you should max your speed at 10 coins. Anymore coins collected just adds to your coin count, something like in Diddy Kong Racing DS.

If Mario Kart 7's contents are ever reused for Mario Kart Wii U, the biggest suggestion is to enable players to collect up to 100 coins per race. Also, a part shop would be nice too, so that way, you can choose which parts you want to purchase. Of course, the parts would have to have variable coin prices, with 9999 being the highest possible price.

The shop system would be so much better. I mean, we have to collect 20,000 coins??? It's a ridiculous amount considering that you get 40 coins per match. Was it Nintendo's best wishes to make their player endlessly grind for coins? -_-

It probably was (laughs)

I also like the shop thing too. Diddy Kong Racing DS gave me a taste of that and it's way better than unlocking parts that you DON'T want yet.

I think Diddy Kong Racing DS's kart part looked cooler.

You'd have to get plenty of Wi-Fi wins if you want that Gold Standard. Of course, pretty much all the gold parts are not worth using in the end.

And I never play Wi-Fi. Too much whining and Maka Wuhu.

Except it looks shiny :D

Ironically, the Gold Tires are basically heavier Slick tires with less acceleration, and the Gold Standard offers the worst off-road of any kart body; you can actually get a 0.5/6 off-road stat with that kart body.

From the looks of it, the Gold parts DO look pretty useless but still shiny nevertheless

They may just be there so people can say they have them. On a related note:

I only have got the Gold Wheels. They are by far the easiest gold parts to unlock.
