You don't have to get a JPG to have it smaller, I would just say you should have the image already be at the actual size you're using. PNG files aren't very big.Baby Luigi said:Well, that's because I got mine from GameFAQs, plus the picture is a JPG and slightly smaller than the one at MarioWiki

If you scale a PNG file with GIMP it will preserve the transparency as long as you don't tamper with the alpha channel. ((If you know what you're doing, go right ahead and tamper.)) I know it's kind of absurd to ask someone to download software but I'm pretty sure there's also online image shrinkers that can handle PNG uploads from a URL.
