make forum games posts not count (again)
 
because people like ultramario (who is supposedly "retired" but whatever) have dickloads of posts in forum games that shouldn't count towards their total (at least in my opinion).
 
Shyguy made it pretty obvious that that's not going to happen.

I think it's got to do with the amount of new users who just come to post in "Make your own Mario character". Which is absolutely fine, which means Nabber's suggestion is out of the question.

That, and also the amount of users who come just to make a thread to advertise their new poster or whatever for so and so competition.
 
Crossposting my reply from the mod board on this subject:

Why are we considering this proposal again? I heard the complaint that people join just to post in there and advertise something or other and leave but in my experience that barely happens. Some of the people who join just to post in fan creations are even pretty cool dudes with nice things to show off.

In addition the basic concept of restricting access to Fan Creations over this seems a bit arbitrary. I've seen a lot more one-off advertising in Off-Subject Discussion than in Fan Creations. Hell, people could join and post twice on any board, let's restrict the whole forum to people with more than 50 posts.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the complaints, in which case please correct me before I make a fool out of myself.

I support this notion; there is really no use for nested spoilers, and all it really does right now is give opportunities for spam.

Somebody added it (I love you, whoever you are), so now there is no difference.
 
With post counts hidden, would it be a good idea to get rid of post count based ranks (Chatty Cathy, Dry Bowser, etc) and give all non-mwchat ops/Wiki Staff/etc regular "Member" ranks?
