Why is everyone attracted to Mario?

Why do I like Mario? Well, I suppose because his games were fun to play as a kid... Now I like him for the expanded universe. And by that I mean all the different spin-offs that get poured into Mario continuity.
 
I think they're talking about Mario the character, not the series, and how princesses are attracted to him.

Ruto: Dude. She flipping PROPOSES to him, then admits to love him 7 years later.

Great fairy? Hmm. Maybe not in most, but in TP? When giving him the GF'ST, she walks right up to him and starts carressing his face.

Yeah, Rauru and Darunia are the only male sages in Ocarina of Time. Anyway, I don't see what the sages have to do with Mario.

Yeah why don't they have King Zora instead of Princess Ruto.

Well he was obviously frozen by the time Link made it to Zora's Domain. Also, judging by his size, King Zora wouldn't even be able to get into the Water Temple.
