So are these the pre-trollscratch trolls? Or like the ancestor's ancestors? Because she said that she was not Mindfang, that she and Mindfang would have interchanged in some instance. Which implies that they have the same relation as ancestors do to kids. Which would make her the ancestor of an ancestor.

EDIT: Then again, that explanation really botches up when it comes to Meenah and the Condesce.

So I finished Act 1 in less than 30 minutes.

I thought Homestuck was supposed to be a lot longer?

Act 1 is pathetically simple. Like 500 pages with barely any words on them.

Act 5 is a bit more complicated, with around 2,000 pages (but still not that many words)

Act 1 + Act 2 + Act 3 + Act 4 = the length of Act 5.

And from the looks of things, Act 6 is going to be about as long as Act 5, what with two intermissions.

Also, that doesn't factor in the Intermission in between Acts 3 and 4 (or was it 4 and 5? I forget) that is (almost) completely unconnected from the plot.

Also, during Act 5 Part 2 there's a pretty long intermission by Doc Scratch.

Yeah, if prescratch Alternia was peaceful then Meenah doesn't make any sense... Perhaps she's a young Condesce? Because all of the ancestors were young at some point.

Yeah. It gets a bit annoying if you're skipping around the pages.

Also, when you get to the Intermission, read it. It's important.

Not just important (which, admittedly, it's not as important as other parts), but hilarious. Some of the best comedic moments in Homestuck are from the Intermission.

You know, I actually half-skipped that intermission (I clicked through everything without reading but I still saw the pics and stuff). Maybe I should go and re-read it.

As a writer, I believe if you skip/ignore things in stories that you're an asshole of absolutely unfathomable proportions.

Don't be an asshole of absolutely unfathomable proportions.

Read everything. It took work to make. Lots of it.

Well not reading it before didn't really have that much of an effect on reading the rest of Homestuck. It didn't seem to matter much to me at that point.

But now that I've read it, I know exactly what happened.
