I've been fooled.
Yeah, the characters and their interactions are the backbone of the show. 8man's an interesting guy, he's not cool and the way he does things is twisted but it's not really ineffective. Kind of like he has a completely different view of the world from say someone like Hayama. whenever I talk about the show it's 100% full of personal bias so I actually had no idea whether you and Crash would like it or not lol.

I started the Shokugeki anime, it has a totally different feel from the manga. In the manga when things got serious it actually felt really important so I was always excited for the next chapter. In the anime, it feels so fucking goofy that I couldn't help but laugh through the first three episodes. It's fun to watch but I'd say compared to the manga it's kind of a joke, which isn't really bad since I get to experience it a second time in an entirely different way. Oh and the foodgasm reactions were actually super funny, that first one near the end of episode 1 was way more extravagant than I remember. I think they definitely upped the level of the ecchi.

Erina's still great.

yea thats why i like 8man, hes pretty unique like that
lol well its prety decent and ill prob finish it soon, im on ep 8 now. its one of those animes that dont just follow the typical sol high school trend but a different perspective, kinda neat seeing that

Ok, here goes...

Kogami Kii is living his highschool life peacefully, when one day, this routine he is used to is destroyed when a girl walks into his school. She is a Magical Girl, who first makes the head of the gate guard explode with her "Magical Stick", and proceeds to exterminating the whole school with her Magic The people she kills are revived by her, and serve her side as zombies. The whole country is assaulted by these girls, all different, and Kii, one of the survivors, must survive.

...basically that. I finished book 6, i recommend it.
 
k so i saw the first 3 episodes and im a bit worried theyre out of order

the second episode ended with them saying theyre going to okinawa next episode

but instead it was yukari being jealous of everyone liking nyamo more

not complaining it was funny as all hell

just worried i might be missing stuff

if it follows this then it should be fine.

Might just be an anime where everything is episodic.
 
The first and third episodes are correct, but the second one was not about Osaka getting hiccups. It was something about starting third year and Kaorin being put in Mr. Kimura's class.

New ep of oregairu
At the start his sister gives him his 'reason' to act on what he wanted to do all along, if he tells himself that it's for his sister then he has no qualms doing it. Then at the end 8man's solution took away Yukinon's 'reason' to act on becoming council prez, looks like she legit wanted to but now her excuse to go through with it is gone. Like the opposite of 8man gaining a reason from his sister. Sad times ahead with the exception of more Iroha.

Finished Barakamon.

It was really good. Not much else to say, it was just really good. Go watch it.
 
All the voices were pretty great, even the kids sounded exactly like kids; annoying and adorable.

wow they actually just got kids to do it, that's pretty neat.

yeah, somehow the whole show just got all the small things right. I liked it all. I don't think there was a part I can say I didn't like.

Began Kokoro Connect. Started off a bit slow but I'm pretty interested now. MC should be unbearable with how simple/boring he is but somehow I like him, some of it might have to do with episode 4 ;) The characters look pretty god damn similar to K-On but I think I read somewhere a while ago it's because the character designer was the same. It looks good. I'm expecting some drama soon.
 
yeah, it's a nice break from the typical adult actor doing the voices, not as good in the long run though. didja check out miijikamon(sp?)? theyre only like two minute shorts but it's still barakamon
 
Oh yeah, those came with the batch. I deleted the torrent but I should be able to find it in my history. I'll grab them and watch them some time.

edit: fuck, I said I was expecting some drama soon in Kokoro Connect but this is just dumb. It's like 90% dramatic bullshit with no down time in between and no reason for me to even care. I want to drop it but I have one episode left so I'll just get it done. Seemed like an interesting premise at first too, what a bummer.

this guy is just as amazingly annoying as he was in the LN. LOGICAL THINKING.

You can see that even Yui is stressed over the club situation now when she had to stop before entering the club room and compose herself. Well, whatever; Iroha's in the main cast now, late game party member. We'll be seeing more of her.
