Face Raiders sounds like a game based of Alien or something. Where you play as a face hugger.

That's second to the boss music in the game. It's in Sonic Gems too and I always mute the sound on it.

The boss theme is somewhat scary, but this... It's even scarier when you consider the situation you're in. You just killed Sonic, and this tune assures you that Sonic is NOT okay, he's burning in hell, rotting, having his flesh eaten by bloodthirsty demons...
