oh ive seen that method before and ive used it in my old town, it took weeks for the villager to move out i think

well i didnt try talking to people with only the side character though

you have to talk to them occasionally so they can ask you to move

otherwise their dialogue next time you talk to them will be something like "i haven't seen you in [whatever] weeks" and they won't ping you

i haven't played the game in a while but you probably only have to talk to them once a week

does this mean villagers you havent talked to in a while wont ping you?

i guess it explains why you can stop playing for months and like
nobodys moved

yeah thats what i was getting at, its always been that way in my experience at least

yeah i can see how it works now if you can initiate the villager relationships using a new character its easier to set up the relationships you want in a way that causes villagers to move out

Every time I tell them that they can leave they say they don't want to anymore

if you hadn't saved yet and maybe hadn't done anything substantial, you should be able to reset the game.

the collaborations with other series gets me the most excited however

gonna nerd out and just list things I want to see:

>Boney dog villager, Starman figurine, Earthbound ANYTHING
>Duck Hunt floor and wallpaper, NES games

but most of all, I want to perfect my fire emblem house with proper fire emblem crests, swords, tomes and armor instead of just custom designs
hot damn i would never stop playing this if that happened

furthermore I hope they're gonna add in some of the new items from HHD, there's some really great stuff in there like the new Zen series

edit: wait shit I think I see the Zen low table in that screenshot with Wisp on the english site. YES

so i guess its confirmed to be more than just amiibo compatibility, this is massive
