Alright guys, it's time to look closely. If nothing happens in 12 hours after this post is made. All 120 of these characters will officially be in the game. Though I guess the only characters that are in danger are the ones in Fifth place and a few in fourth place. So some characters are practically locked anyway.

Ok that ties up Magolor with Whispy Woods. If nothing is done to break that tie by Midnight then an emergency matchup will be set up between the 2.

Everything is set in stone and in a few days or so we'll begin the game (I'd say next Monday). I'll be setting up the matchups. However don't expect it too soon. Because at the same time of posting the schedule I will also be setting up the BYE system so that it launches the same time so you can think about all the matchups and take your gamble and decide who you think will be able to make it past 2 rounds and gain the BYE to bypass the 3rd round entirely. Only one lucky character can get this, so choose wisely. (But don't send them in until I tell you)

It's basically something where whichever characters wins the BYE gets to completely skip the 3rd Round and get into the 4th round without having to matchup with anyone in the 3rd Round.
I'll explain the details later.
For now though, I'll tell you guys that the first round surely has some varied matchups. Most of these I don't think will ever be V2W matchups ever again. I forgot how fun it was to see the matchups unfold to see who gets who.

Ok everyone. All the matchups are on the front page. The game will start Monday, February 13th and Round 1 will finish on March 3rd.
Now take a look at each day and see what's in store for Round 1. Being this is Round 1 with all 120 characters randomized some matchups are going to be more one-sided then other.
Other then that it is now time to introduce the BYE system.
After seeing all the matchups. Weigh both your predictions on who will advance and your favorites and in a PM give me 5 Characters ranked 1-5. The order DOES matter as the character you put in first place gains more points then the ones you put below it. I will keep a private scoreboard that I won't reveal until the end of Round 2 and whoever is on top of this scoreboard will be able to bypass all of Round 3 and head straight into the 4th Round.
The catch to this is that the BYE is not a Revive function. In order to win the BYE the character must have gotten through the first 2 rounds and have the most points from the PMs. One character can have the most BYE points out of anyone but if that character is eliminated sometime in the first 2 rounds they are eliminated from the game with no chance for return and whoever was closest who did make it past Round 2 will gain the BYE.
You'll have all of Round 1 to send in one. So you have plenty of time. However there is a time where points are more valuable. If you send one in after Februrary 22nd, it won't be as valuable if you had done it before. This is meant to be a sort of gamble. You can wait until the 22nd to put in your PM but on the 23rd and on the points will be cut in half. After Round 1 is finished no more can be sent and you just have to stress if the one character you want to gain the BYE makes it through Round 2 which is itself a gamble because of the random number generator. The Character who gains the BYE has to have a combination of popularity and luck in order to get an easy walk across Round 3 so it should make it quite fun

The Reason I'm doing this is to have Round 4 start up with 16 characters. Thus not having to worry about a Triple Matchup late in the game. Because of this I'll still have to deal with one Triple Matchup in Round 3 but I'm alright with having just 1.

C'mon, Magus is going to get wiped out against Captain Kirk. Oh well, at least Kirk is a decent character to lose out to. Crono is going to be tough as well since Fawful is so popular. What's really odd about this is that Chrono Trigger is one of the most critically acclaimed JRPGs of all time and it's probably going to be wiped out here. Oh well, guess Metroid, Mega Man, and Ace Attorney got some good matchups.

Yeah unlike the first game there are alot more popular series this time. The first game had like New York Mets, Race Car Drivers, Sultans of the Ottoman Empire and because it was 5 per series that took about 1/5 of the characters. This game has a larger percentage of more popular series. In a way, this should make it better then the first game throughout the whole thing because most of the characters are more well known. And it will be a tough competition to make the Top 12 to possibly return in a 3rd game. I imagine some series that got in the Top 10 last game won't do as well as they did last game bcause either there are more popular series now or they lack the popularity depth because they got brand new characters that aren't as popular as the ones they got in the first game.
