Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, I believe.

Not Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Mario AND Donkey Kong.

I actually liked Minis on the Move.

Mario Kart Wii was the best Mario Kart game. It certainly had the best soundtrack, for one thing.

I agree so much on this. I loved the first Mario vs. DK and the only thing that saved the second one was the stage builder, but when all the other ones were like that I kinda lost interest.

mario vs donkey kong is a ripoff of the best original gameboy game in existence

I love MKWii but also the mk8 soundtrack, then again it doesn't have the Koopa Cape music.

well mario vs dk was originally based on it cause of all the focus acrobatics and similar levels i think

and then minis for some reason

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is supposed to be a remake of Donkey Kong '94. The Minis are added because reasons. But both games feature the picking-up style, the Mario with some acrobatic moves, and the surprisingly varied amount of ways you can die.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is (was) probably the closest thing to a modern Super Mario Bros. 2, guys. It has Shy Guys and Ninjis, and you pick up stuff in the same way.

Finally, MARIO TALKS IN THAT GAME. :O
 
the first mario vs donkey kong was really good too, it was a neat way to bring back the old donkey kong game but with more stuff added.

Of course ive only played the first one, dunno about the others.
 
I rather like the lemmings styled ones, though the first one is still my favourite of the bunch.


Final boss was really random though.
 
Fun fact, the final boss of Mario vs. Donkey Kong inspired a bunch of my ideas for sequels to games and movies which involve the villain returning in a similar giant mech. Interestingly that boss was far easier than the mid-game boss.
 
Bowser jr has all the mech related stuff covered. You are right about it being easier than the mid boss though.

I think Mario's giving one toy to Donkey Kong just to spy on him.

LOL, one of my headcannon is that Donkey Kong mistreats the toy and the toy goes on a rampage to kill him.

That's sweet, right?
