I've never played TTYD.
If you ever get the chance, please do.

the Galaxy games, which were both critically-acclaimed and sold very well (even for a Mario game).

ehhhh no. they were both below average for mario games. nsmb and nsmbw were the ones that did ridiculous sales numbers

Actually, I technically have, but no memory card back then = no save

It's a GameCube game, and for that I literally only have Sunshine, MP5, Double Dash, and the original animal crossing.

TTYD > PM1 >>>>> SPM

SPM's good but nowhere near as fun as the first two, imo.

Haven't played Sticker Star.

M&L series > PM series

I've played BiS and Superstar Saga and I like SPM more than either of them. BiS is just ok and Saga is one of those games I just can't get into.

I've only played BiS, but if I had to pick between BiS and TTYD I'd go with TTYD. Both are great, but I prefer TTYD just a little bit more.

Yes, I did just say Super Paper Mario is better than Paper Mario.
This, except switch Paper Mario and TTYD.

As for my full Mario RPG ranking, (not counting SMRPG as I haven't played it) Super Paper Mario is my favorite game, but M&L is my favorite series.

Amazing tier=Super Paper Mario
Awesome tier=Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga/Bowser's Inside Story
Great tier=Thousand Year Door, Dream Team
Decent tier=Paper Mario, Partners in Time
OK tier=[blank]
Meh tier=[blank]
Nope tier=[blank]
Sticker Star tier=self-explanatory.

it's no contest really

I feel that it gets the style of the franchise better. Plus the interactive aspects of combat are enjoyable.

Do I really need to explain how wrong this is?
No, because it's his own opinion, and he can't be wrong for his own opinion.

But I can still call him out on a stupid rating category.

True... but why does he hate Sticker Star? It's illogical.

It's logical, people have different tastes. For me, it's my least favourite because of how frustrating for me it is, but that's just me.

People can dislike games of series they like ya know :P

I'm a huge Sonic fan. But Sonic 06 is pretty much one of my least favorite games of all-time. Cause the game as a whole is an insult to what I like about the Sonic series. FTG believes Sticker Star is similar in that to him, the game is an insult to Paper Mario and/or Mario RPGs.

You can't compare Sonic 06 and Sticker Star. Sonic 06 is a bad game because it's unplayable, full of glitches, it was rushed. Sticker Star is at least a playable game and not a bad by game standards.

Sticker star is a very tired subject. It exists, some people didn't like it, some did, while others are indifferent. Its not going to go away and I highly doubt its going to bring about some so called catastrophic end to the PM series. No doubt they'll go back to the cutting room floor for the next one and perhaps try to reinvent the series again or just make it like the older ones, who knows.

The point I'm trying to emphasise that I'm sure most of you understand is

CAN WE MOVE ON ALREADY!?

I like DS wii and U along with Super Luigi

I played through 2 but its the one game in the series I have no desire to go back to.

I know that Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros. both sell insane amounts. However, both Galaxy games sold over 5 million copies. That's good enough to be noted in my book. On top of that, they had very high reviews and praise, as I said above.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 isn't bad per say, but it was very underwhelming. It has the worse fights out of the four games, it was a major rehash from Wii, it was very easy, it added little new to the table, and it just felt very weak for a Mario platformer. Dare I say it, Sticker Star might be better.

Funny. I actually bothered to get the million coins, and liked it.
Really? And oh yeah. That gimmick was pointless.

I think there is a base enjoyment to collecting lots of coins. But very little actually comes of it. The game itself I kind of view in the same light as those old Donkey kong land game boy games that were essentially watered down portable versions of a console title. In this case NSMBWii is the console game and NSMB2 is the watered down handheld version.

And just like Donkey kong land, you'll feel more inclined to play the superior console titles.
