Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

I personally really like it.

Not sure how unpopular this one is, but I wanted to say it anyways.

I had much more amusing moments in Super Mario 64 DS than both Galaxies combined

Heck I think the only amusing moment i had in Galaxy was when I zoomed in on the awful 2D leaves of the game

Sm64DS >>>> Original Version

SMG (and maybe also smg 2) >>>> Sm64DS

This is what I think most people would agree on

My unpopular opinion is that Nintendo of Tokyo should stop making Mario platformers, solely because I despise their difficulty spike levels.

Yeah, we both think Nintendo of Tokyo has a fetish for making one or two stupidly difficult levels. I don't have high expectations for that company to make Mario platformers, but again, I don't have really high expectations for Mario platformers in general.

Which games are these, again?

I am still mad at you, but regardless you asked so:

* Super Mario Galaxy
* Super Mario Galaxy 2
* Super Mario 3D Land
* Super Mario 3D World
* Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

They also did Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat beforehand.

Super Mario Galaxy - trial Galaxies, some isolated purple coin challenges
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - The Perfect Run
Super Mario 3D Land - That level
Super Mario 3D World - That level, now called "Champion's Road"
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - Mummy-Me Maze Forever, I guess. Never played it though, but that sounds like a whole lot of fun. Sarc.

This level is extremely difficult

YOU NEVER FAIL TO DISAPPOINT NINTENDO OF TOKYO

Remember the good times when Grand Finale Galaxy, the final level of the game, was a nice little, easy "congrats to you" rather than some eyesore of a "hard" level made solely to piss players off?

I honestly think they should stop making Mario games altogether and get the Super Mario 64 team back on.

I find it funny that the wiki mentioned that Mummy-Me Maze Forever is an "extremely difficult" level, but didn't mention as such for Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World's final levels. Based on the wiki's history, the page's founder mentioned this, but nobody really challenged that statement.

Granted, Mummy-Me Maze Forever is certainly challenging (took me 3 days to complete), especially in comparison to the rest on the game, but I don't find this to be harder than Super Mario 3D World's Champion's Road (which caused me to take a break for being too unmanageable until I got the idea to use multiple controllers). Both are challenging in their own way, but Mummy-Me Maze Forever is, I found, more manageable than Champion's Road for the following reasons:
- No time limit. 3D World has a time limit so in Champion's Road, waiting for the water block to come back for one round wastes a lot of time. Mummy-Me Maze forever doesn't have it so I can take my time in avoiding certain enemies on the way (especially the Shy Guys and Fire Piranha Plants).
- You get power-ups. Super Pickax allows you to skip a room and Mushrooms allow you room for error, whereas Champion's Road doesn't provide any powerups at all. This would be easier with multiple people since the "big" status can be refreshed through losing a live.
- Slower paced. This is an advantage because while I can tap enemies in both versions, Captain Toad allows me to tap on them while moving to better avoid certain enemies on their tracks. Super Mario 3D World is more fast-paced and jump (and dash) is a required function to move, so it's not as easy to do this.

Thanks for reading.

I've never played it myself, I'm just basing of various notoriety for its difficulty. Perhaps I shouldn't judge before I play, but I keep seeing this level being hard in GameFAQs and since people had said World Crown and Champion's Road is difficult, I'll be lead to believe that, yeah, it's probably as difficult as they say.

Timers are awful and Super Mario 64 - Super Mario Galaxy 2 did the right thing in leaving those damn things out.

If Mario Maker comes with a Time Limit, I will probably never turn it on or I'll make it a stupid amount of time, if I'm able to adjust the time limit in the first place.

How does it make sense when every other platformer doesn't use timers?

New unpopular opinion: I HATE the invincibility theme.
