Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

Going back to why I was puzzled about Peach and Daisy's running, Mario's running being his weak point makes sense since he's somewhat chubby. Peach being the same speed as Mario and Daisy being slower than Mario doesn't make much sense considering they're much thinner and fitter than Nintendo's No.1 mascot.

Also, yeah, Diddy should be faster than the Mario Brothers since he's classified as a Speed character.

All that platforming and Smash Brosing paid off. Looks can be deceiving.
 
im sure mario would be a top athlete considering what he can do a variety of games, a little belly like he has is really no big deal.
 
He even has a bigger drive than Wario in every Mario Golf game he's in. That would be my biggest "wut".
 
The Feather from Super Mario World is not a great power-up.
 
Sure, but I myself believe it's hard to find fault with its utility and its ubiquity.
 
actually ice i can share that opinion, while smb1 isnt too bad its very far from being the best.

While the feather does have offensive capabilities, I personally think the Propeller Mushroom is the superior flight power up. It may not be able to fly farther, but it's much easier to control and you have far more capability of landing your flights.

I've never played New Super Mario Bros. U so I wouldn't know. When I said the superior power-up I meant in comparison to the Feather.

It doesn't break levels as readily as the cape though. Cape also has slow-fall, mind you, so it's essentially a better Raccoon power-up (since it's more long-ranged and spammable).

But that's a fault on World's level design

And the funniest thing is that the official Japanese guide even taught you how to really break levels with the cape:
