Pikmin 3

I keep going back and forth on what controls I want to use.

I was originally planning to just use the gamepad (since you'd have the map right with you when you need it) but everyone keeps saying that the Wii Remote controls are better. I just don't know if I should use the Wii Remote controls or not, since I'm not sure if I would like having to switch back and forth from the gamepad.

I personally prefer the Wii U Gamepad, because with Wii remote you have to point to the TV to aim where you want to throw the Pikmins.

Wii remote gives you far more reach with your cursor I believe. If its worrying you too much watch Gamexplains video on the differences between controllers. It really shows how much of a difference having the extra distance with a Wiimote can help.

I did, but I still can't decide.

I'll probably start using the gamepad, but maybe if I play mission mode with my sister I'll let her use it and I can try the wii remote controls.

The game came out 2 days ago, but I just realised that, and decided to try it out.
I've never expected it to be this fun!

I've heard the final area of the game is a pain in the ass and many people got mad over it. Looking forward to it. I've also heard it's a chase-like thing going on.

I've seen the final battle, and I'm really scared. It basically is Titan Deevil with the different attack strageties, but has the health of Bublax King, and it's attacks are major destroyers on your Pikmin. It really does make the other two final bosses seem less of a pain in comparison.

Which is awesome, but now I'm probably going to flipping out because I'm going to be overpreparing myself, like when I enter a cave in Pikmin 2.

6 more days, and then I can finally enjoy it!!!

It's too long of a wait. Because of this wait, I've been buying so many video games to keep my occupied.

Is it with the gold boss thing? I am there.

Edit: Indeed. I beat it. That was so long and hard, I am sure I lost at least 200 Pikmins to this boss.

Finished this game. I just lost too many Pikmins.

Unfortunately, once you beat the final boss, you can't continue your expedition, unless you do again the previous days.
So I may start another file where I try to collect all fruits before fighting the final boss.

Cirdec, question to you...

How was the Earth Boss guy? He looks very tough as well.

That one?

No, this one:

I bet the water puddles are the worse in this battle. Just trying to strategize how to do it without losing so many Pikmin.

Oh yes. That the second last boss. He is very hard indeed. The best is to fight with only blue Pikmins or the others could drown in the deep mud areas. Though you will need some rock Pikmins to break the crystal on his head before you could damage him.

Damn, what's with all those Spoiler Tags?

A question...
How would you rank each Pikmin type in terms of usefulness overall and why?

Biked three miles to get the game. Twas worth it.

Too bad I have errands and college stuff to do. :yoshi:

Played it! It is SO good. On Day 8 now. I'll probably try the mission mode later today. The controls felt a bit touchy at first, but I got used to them.

Picked up a copy today but haven't gotten to play. I'll post about it later.

Unless you're silenced >:D

Game looks good graphically and the Winged Pikmin looks intriguing, but Rock worries me as it may be overpowered
