All I can do is play SMB in a slow emulator to avoid the hammers and the Spiny eggs.

For Snipy eggs that's not hard to dodge them.

Well, I agree, Sonic 3 was better with the level designs and Tails being playable.
 
I like Sonic & Knuckles better, although call me biased since I just want to play as Knuckles
 
In my opinion, Knuckles isn't useful as he was in the 3D Sonic games.

It had my favorite zone in the series (Chemical Plant) but I find Sonic 3 slightly better.

Agreed.

Also, I may have said this in this topic before, but Birdo is a good character. I personally like her much more than characters such as Luigi, the babies, Rosalina, and the Koopalings.

But he couldn't fly or swim in Sonic 2. Which was a shame. But they gave him that ability for Sonic 3 just fine, which was awesome.

On a more serious note, I don't think Twilight Princess is that good. It was ok, but nothing spectacular about it at all.
