You're not helping
Also, to be on topic: I WILL GO TO TACO TUCKY'S BEFORE EVERY OTHER STORE

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - TACO TUCKY'S

I'm finally getting going on this again. Also, new poll.

I'll also be starting a PROGRAMMER'S DIARY in the OP.

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - TACO TUCKY'S

Sorry for Double-posting Pyro, but I just had a great Idea! If you have played Banjo-Kazooie games, you must know Mumbo Jumbo. How about I become the Moves Tutor and/or Transformator. To do this, you would need Razztokens or Friendz Coins for the Transformations. And I could have my own building in the worlds. It could be called "Razzoom´s Moves and Transformations". And in a level, you´d need to turn into a Troll or a Robot to pass through an area... And just like in Banjo-Tooie with Mingy Jongo, I could have a optional mini-boss called Shrazzoob who pretends to be me...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Example Dialogue:

Entering Moves and Transformations:

Razzoom: Why hello brave hero. What do you need to turn into? I´ll whip up something for you!!

Entering Shrazzoob room:

Shrazzoob: Why hello <insert player characters name here>, Whaddaya need? I´ve got a surprise for you...
Player: Oh wow! Thanks!
Shrazzoob: *hits player* I´m not that stupid Razzoom, I am Shrazzoob! I am using a special speech transpondator! You will be baked! And then there will be Cake!

After hitting Shrazzoob 2 times: AAARGH! BZZZT Shroob shribby shroooob shrooba!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After hitting Shrazzoob twice, the special speech transpondator gets broken...

Is this a good Idea?

Yet again sorry for double-posting, but where is this Programmers Diary?

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

It's just a log of the stuff I put in.

Also, I might input Friendz Coins, but the currency for the actual shop will most certainly be (Yoshi) Coins.

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

But is the idea good?

And also, could you add achievements in, like when you buy the most expensive item in the shop, It pops up as a joke?

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

Achievements will happen probably, but right now I'm trying to input message boxes.

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

Pyro, I have an unfinished design I could give you...

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

I looked, but I'm trying something different. I'll have a screenshot as soon as I figure some stuff out and you can tell me what you think.

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

Okay, I'll do just that.

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

Let's just make characters sound like the character they're based on (Tucky will sound like a Paratroopa, Pyro will say hi ho! or whatever, etc)

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

do we need sound?

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

Honestly, I'd be fine with music in the background, and just little noise for when the text appears (like a Fire Emblem game or something)

Same.

Or just the text appearing starting from the beginning, with a beep when you press the proceed/confirm button (Like Pokémon with the fast text speed)

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

To al scared of the mumbling/text thing, all that I need is a soundbite of what you are based on and make your text appearing noise when you talk. Just like in Banjo-Kazooie...

The "mumble" thing in Banjo got a bit annoying quick though.

Re: Super Mario Wiki Community Fangame - Back on track

And if that´s what you think, I´ll suggest a Mumble ON/OFF option... :posh:

Pyro: Have you heard of RPG Maker?

See y´all soon...

1. RPG Maker costs money

2. It's a pain to import your own sprites (I speak from experience)

3. The battle system sucks, and is super hard to change.
