It's a rumor so it's fake
Still, I would love a Mega Tyranitar. He's my favorite Pokemon.
He'd still die to vaporeon :mario:
What if I taught him thunder punch?

Stone Edge does basically the same damage as Thunder Punch on Vaporeon so meh.

Unless Tyranitar is holding the Expert Belt, a STABbed Stone Edge will deal roughly the same damage as a super-effective ThunderPunch, but the latter is more likely to hit its mark.

I'd actually love it if that rumored list was real. I'd love to see Mega Drapion, Aggron, Cofagrigus, and Galvantula.

That looks fake for me; there are lots of powerful Pokémons in that list. They don't need a mega evolution.

To be fair, Blaziken is considered one of the best Pokemon in the games and he got a Mega Evolution, so....

You have a point. In before Shell Smash Mega Blastoise.

I'm a little concerned that they have Heracross there and not Pinsir...

I mean, aren't those two rivals or something? How's it gonna seem when one gets the evolution and not the other? ;-;

One gets a mega evolution and one gets a regular evolution.

Pinsir does not have the exact same weaknesses as Heracross, however. Sure it doesn't get STAB for Close Combat, and it has to use X-Scissor instead of Megahorn, but having access to Mold Breaker is a blessing for the old stagbeetle.

but they've kinda been a duo

like electabuzz and magmar, or Tauros and miltank, or even Sableye and mawile

having one mega evolve is kinda like they're breaking the duo

Magmar and Electabuzz have broken their trio that they had with jynx. I think jynx deserves the evolution she never had.

- Every Pokemon now has actually voiced cries, Pikachu has his/her anime cry.

ugh

everything else looks good though

Eh, some classic cries are earsores.

I'm talking to you Electabuzz

but

pokemon saying their names

i hate that so much

It's also very weird how certain Pokemon have highly identical cries, but at different pitch levels. Omanyte's cry is just a higher pitched variation of Machop's cry.

It sounds dumb too but I prefer that over some cries any day of the week

Especially Electabuzz's

Well am I the only one glad they're nixing the first generation voices? I find them old, tired, and very grating.

I thought that all the Pokemon saying their names was confirmed false and that only Pikachu would (I assume it's some NPC Pikachu or something?) At least, that's what I heard and it seems plausible considering you can hear the normal cries of the Pokemon in various X/Y trailers.

IIRC, the only thing Pikachu had special was the anime voice, but every other pokemon has a voiced cry

Like I said, if you look at the trailers, you can HEAR some of the 6th gen Pokemon cries. They sound normal. They just decided to change Pikachu's.

Maybe it's because Pikachu's voice is the same in every language? After all, Pikachu is called Pikachu in Japanese as well, so it isn't that weird.
