Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

It'll probably be a while before I even try to buy either the X or Y version, as I still have some business to tend to at the 5th generation's Pokemon Dream World before the Pokemon Global Link is closed for good there. At least the Torchic event doesn't end until mid-January, so I have plenty of time to get that event-exclusive Blazikenite.

A 3DS Emulator is one thing, but being able to update PokeGen to support the X and Y versions will probably be very tedious.
 
The Pokemon website has information about the final starter evolutions, as well as some AWESOME new desktop backgrounds.
 
Oh my God, have you guys been playing with Wonder Trade? This is seriously one of the funnest things to do ever omg.
 
Yeah, you send a pokemon out to be traded and get a random one from somebody else in return. It's so entertaining, I'm using it to get rid of all the Pokemon I get searching for ones with good natures.
 
Sounds good. I guess if you're lucky you might get a good Pokemon in return, but I'd assume most people have the same idea as you.
 
Holy crap, they nerfed Surf. And moves like Thunder. They changed all the reliable 95 power moves to 90, and all the 120 power low accuracy moves to 110. Except Focus Blast, for some reason. They also made the Pledge moves 80 power. Which I'm glad, those moves were completely useless.
 
It's a small nerf but it's still stupid
 
First impression: I love Amie, it's real nice to finally interract with my Pokemon in such a direct manner.
Man, is the intro real quick! One hour and you already have the 1st Gym under your belt!
The 2D to 3D transition couldn't have been better, props to Gamefreak.

I started playing it earlier, but then fell asleep while playing it, my 3DS died, and now I'm making up all the stuff I already did. :(

And I feel horrible, because I ended up getting Froakie instead of Chespin. :( :( :(

Lol, I got a Female Froakie though. :)
 
So if you get a pokemon from a different language game, you unlock the pokedex profile for that pokemon in a different language.

I truly feel sorry for those with OCD

It's bad enough when Vivillon and Flabebe and its families have different forms and the Pumpkiboo family having different sizes. Why do you do this? :'(
 
Well, bad news. My parents say I shouldn't get the game until the exams are over. Which is on the 30th.

I know this is supposed to make me feel satisfied when I finally get it, but I get a feeling not having this game for 2 weeks will give me more weird dreams than my final exams will.

Has anyone been able to fully confirm Mega Garchomp's base stats? Based on the information given (increased Attack and SP ATK, decreased Speed), I was thinking that the following were its base stat values...

HP: 108
Attack: 140
Defense: 95
SP ATK: 90
SP DEF: 85
Speed: 82

Attack: 170
Defense: 115

Interesting. I kind of thought that the mega evolutions would maintain the same base stat totals, but I guess this proves my theory wrong. Mega Garchomp actually rivals Black Kyurem and White Kyurem with its base stat total; 700.
 
GameFreak has no idea how balance works.

That being said, this is another generation where I'll totally skip out on Pokemon. I won't be missing much from these rehashes.
