Cedric the Simisage at level 44 (if you didn't already get the reference, I called him Cedric cause of Cirdec, seeing as this is set in France and all)

Lol thank you. Even if you forgot the accent on the "e"

but it's not you though

just based on you

So has anybody talked about the Vivillion wings changing depending on where you are. E.g Australia gets the river pattern for the wings. Sorry if this has been brought up before, I haven't been keeping up with the thread much.

Ok, that was neat.

If you go to a Pokémon Center on your birthday, there's confetti and balloons, and a picture of a cake shows up on that blue screen thingy.

Has anyone encountered the creepy ghost girl in Lumiose? She doesn't walk, she floats. She appears behind you and whispers "you're not the one".

In other news, I still have no idea where Magneton levels up. People have tried the caves with no luck.

I'm not sure it can evolve in this game. Not sure if it's accurate, but according to Bulbapedia, Magnezone can only be acquired through a trade.

On Magnezone's article under Game Data (specifically Game locations)

I now have seven badges and I...guess I'm fucking up Team Flare (since the game randomly decided to reveal the leader's identity and tried to pass it off as this huge surprise).

Did you get Yveltal yet?

I think I know who it is already, there isn't much of a surprise there anyway. Pretty obvious who it is.

I've never played a Pokemon game before but is this worth buying, i'm not if I want to buy this or not.

I've played only since Gen IV, so I don't have much room to speak, but this definitely has this sense of fresh air compared to the other games. It feels like the Pokemon series has taken much of a new sense of reality to it, as though it is a completely new game. At the same time, I get the nostalgic hits of the past games, and I do feel with a lot of the Pokemon and scenes that it reminds me of the games I have played before.

In my opinion, it is an excellent balance of new and old.

There is a lot of old Pokemon, so if you are new, then it's like "I need to play the first five generations in order to get a lot of those pokemon from those generations"! The face that there isn't a lot of new Pokemon shouldn't effect someone that hasn't played Pokemon before, though it does make it a bit different.

The fairy type addition is actually not as...hectic as I thought it would be. Like, I thought that maybe it would be a bit op to have out so early in the game, but it wasn't. In fact, I find Fairy type to fit in almost too well into the other types, more so the fact that it doesn't feel like it better than types like Fire, Grass, Fighting, Psychic, etc. Plus, there has been a lot of poison, which sucks with the fairy type (though good for them since they are a bit threat), and I only ran into a few dragons, which is great using some awesome Fairy moves against them. I am glad to see some Dragons actually before the second gym, unlike having to wait till around the 6th gym to really get to see any.

This is before Gym 2, my team is...

Frogaider (Female) [Lv. 24]
Honedge (Male) [Lv. 17]
Florette (Female) [Lv. 23]
Vivillion (Female) [Lv. 22]
Fletchinder (Female) [Lv. 24]
Ivysaur (Male) [Lv. 22]

(I don't know why, but I seem to like my butterfly and bird pokemon as females. I spent forever trying to find Honedge, and I was looking for a male. The first time it was a male, and I friggin killed it by accident in one move when I was just trying to weaken it, then the next four times I ran into one, they were female, and then finally I ran into another male, and used moves that were 4x resistant to it so that it wouldn't kill it. It took me like an hour just to do that because I literally had to run into like 6 random Pokemon before one would show up.)

Edit: Lol, just caught my Inkay. Adding that to my team somewhere...
