Racing upside down would be a pain in the ass, but altering gravity has been done before; Mario Kart 7 did it in Rainbow Road.

Actually, that would make Rainbow Road much more challenging and fun once you get the hang of it.

Agreed.

I agree as well because classic Rainbow Road is starting to be boring.
It feels new every year to me.

That's funny, because they don't release a new game every year.

It FEELS like every year

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

My favourite Rainbow Road was the Wii one. I didn't enjoy 7's, it's slow and boring to race on IMO.

This. I found Wii's the most fun, and I found Double Dash!!'s the most challenging. 64's is the most tedious and 7's is definitely the most boring. DS's was ok, though.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

The main issue with Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Road is that it had three sections, instead of laps. A 2-lap race around that track isn't all that farfetched.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

The tracks need to be longer this time.

Most kart racing games have races lasting around 3 minutes.
Mario kart has races lasting around 2 minutes.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I thought 7's was to easy compered to Wii's. (Which was my favorite due it's difficulty)

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I thought Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Road blew all the others out of the water. It had you racing on other planetary objects and flying was fun.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I think they should bring rainbow road 64 back, then have super circut's in the next game, then double dash!!, and so on.

On to characters: they should keep all the Wii characters (and bring back petey). I also think we should have hammer bro, Monty mole, Dixie kong, and Kamek.

Gameplay:they should keep the customizable karts.

There, my spiel is over.

No characters from Mario Kart 7?

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

To be honest, I never got the Honey Queen hate. Well, other than that she "replaced" Waluigi (which probably isn't the case) and that people were mad their favorites aren't usable but someone like she is is playable.

People always rally for generic enemies to be playable when they are just about as insignificant as Honey Queen. In fact, I always find generic enemies to be a bit on the bland side. H. Queen at least has SOME sort of personality.

pretty much can agree, at least honey queen has some viability as a character, unlike many other generic enemies like boo's and koopa's, who only serve their place to be defeated and never seem have much of a personality to begin with.

Then again who am I kidding? mario fans

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Hell, I even prefer baby versions of existing characters over generic enemies. Could be my personal tastes, but w/e

But, Mario Kart Wii went a little too damn excessive with them. Two are enough.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

babies didnt have much of a personality, until PIT which they seemed to be more unique then.

Generic enemies dont really roll this way as almost all generics act the same way or another. At least the babies are unique to some degree or another.

Kinda shocked to hear me say that since i dont really really like the babies.

My mouth is already hanging open as I read that post

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I agree with Baby Luigi. I never got the hate towards Honey Queen. At least she was unique and not a damn species. What I don't understand, though, is how they chose Honey Queen over Lubba. I mean, Lubba is pretty much a "main character" in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Why didn't they choose him instead?
