Well, Lubba would make more sense than other Lumas, because they are too small

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I have no idea why they didn't choose Lubba. Maybe his arms are too stubby?

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Point taken.

I guess Super Mario Galaxy 2 wasn't popular enough at the time

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Yet I see reference to it in like only two games (Fortune Street and Mario & Sonic at the London Games)

You stole my comment, hahahahahaha.

Yes, but references aren't enough. I want Lubba playable D:

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Lubba won't be too bad.

I agree with Baby Luigi. I never got the hate towards Honey Queen. At least she was unique and not a dang species. What I don't understand, though, is how they chose Honey Queen over Lubba. I mean, Lubba is pretty much a "main character" in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Why didn't they choose him instead?
Well, I'd like to have another female character. In another word, she had two appearances, though not as main character.

However, both options are undetermined to me. I don't really like to see more characters introduced from Galaxy beside Rosalina, instead I'd choose characters from other major titles (subseries, RPGs etc) which had no exclusive character being in spinoffs.

uh... kinda random but okay!

Theres some pretty bad imbalance, lack luster ai, and the kart games intend to be rather slow as well, and not quite that much to do compared to some other racing games i like.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I think the balance is getting better, for example MK7 is pretty well balanced, while Mario Kart DS was not at all.

well i havent played 7 at all since i dont have a 3ds and all, may give it a whirl once i get one though.

although the whole coin system sounds kinda wonky.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Mario Kart 7 does have its fair share of issues, however, such as with the acceleration stat. For some odd reason, the acceleration levels follow the following standard...

Level 1: 0.75/6
Level 2: 1/6
Level 3: 1.25/6
Level 4: 1.5/6
Level 5: 1.75/6, 2/6, 2.25/6, 2.5/6
Level 6: 2.75/6, 3/6, 3.25/6, 3.5/6
Level 7: 3.75/6, 4/6, 4.25/6, 4.5/6
Level 8: 4.75/6
Level 9: 5/6
Level 10: 5.25/6
Level 11: 5.5/6

Once you reach the 1.75 mark, you'll start noticing that your combo's acceleration will not change, until you reach the 2.75 acceleration level. A flaw like this needs to be fixed up for Mario Kart U, since a combo that has a 2.5 acceleration stat should accelerate better than a combo that has a 1.75 acceleration stat.

7 is just as wonky and random as Wii, except with Lucky 7's, Fire Flowers, and Tanooki Tails instead. And believe me, Fire Flowers have the potential to piss you off

Well, DS had a loop and corkscrew, so that was unique.

They could have ways that surround each other and if you look 'up', you see other racers.

I am going to make an example.

This. Maybe have all the racing on the outside, though, and a black hole on the inside.

Nice. Of course, you'd want to make the track a little more complex.

Also a good idea.

This is a 15 minutes example of just this combo corkscrew.
