Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Yes. Because you can't do stuff like this in Super Mario 64

Which is why Super Mario 64 is inferior to Mario Party in every way possible

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I was only answering your question why Mario Party is superior to Super Mario 64 unless you meant it as a rhetorical question

Still, the Metal Box is just like an inferior version of the star. Hell, it's an inferior version of the Mega Mushroom, since it does grant you some sort of invincibility and offense.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

My visions of the Metal Box would be the following...

While the racer is metallic, he/she will become very heavy, being able to push aside even the heaviest karts with relative ease. Also, the kart becomes highly resistant to most item attacks (including Spiny Shells), not flinching, but will still lose some speed upon getting hit; the only items that can bypass the Metal Box's flinch resistance are the Star, the Mega Mushroom, and the Bullet Bill. The Metal Box also protects the racer from the Thunderbolt, keeping him/her from turning tiny. If two karts are metallic, the heavier kart will push the lighter kart aside. The effects of the Metal Box last for 20 seconds, but it'll immediately expire if the player has to be picked up by Lakitu.

If Metal Mario, for some reason comes back, one can tell the difference between Mario using the Metal Box, and Metal Mario, by noticing that the kart will be metallic when the Metal Box is used. Metal Mario's kart will not appear metallic, unless he uses the Metal Box himself. Also, unique to Metal Mario only is that he'll be given a golden metal coloring whenever he uses the Metal Box, instead of the typical silver metal coloring that all the other characters use.

I'm one of the few people who actually prefers to race by myself instead of teamwork. I prefer independence than teamwork when it comes to video games by myself.

This is a good idea, but the Metal Mario thing should be rendered moot since Metal Mario shouldn't even be a separate character anymore.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Well it is a what if scenario. Outside of DLC, Metal Mario is not on my roster input.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Yeah, but you know, hypothetical scenarios are numerous and we should focus on what logically should happen.

Anyway, I'm tired of seeing Mario receive a circuit/raceway. Make him have something else for once. And no, I am not including the Mario Kart Arcade GP series.

I could pretty much say the same thing with Rainbow Road, but it is a staple track in the Mario Kart franchise.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Yeah, I'm talking about character specific stuff. Bowser even received a city!

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Well for starters, Bowser Jr. could have a playroom themed track.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Bowser Jr. hasn't even received a course yet, so I don't care what he gets. He could get his fiery floatilla from Super Mario Galaxy anyway

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Wouldn't a space themed track be more associated with Rosalina though?

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

More so than an ice world, but we got a snowcapped summit for DK's course, so...

YES. ABSOLUTELY YES. The Double Dash mode should be unlocked when you have unlocked all characters.

And don't f*cking mess with Rosalina. She's staying in Mario Kart FOREVER.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Well I'm glad they abandoned THAT concept. It was just weird for DK to have a snowy alpine course

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Here's my idea of character courses:
Mario: A circuit, and his toy company from Mario vs DK
Luigi: A circuit, and something from LMDM(I couldn't say what as I haven't played it yet.)
Peach: Her castle.
Bowser: His castle, and one of his galaxies from SMG/SMG2
Bowser, Jr.: An airship or fleet of airships.
Daisy: Her kingdom, Sarasaland, from Super Mario Land.
Babies: They can share a course, maybe a toy world or something.
Wario: A bank.
Waluigi: Something that is rigged with traps, showing Waluigi's cheating nature.

List not complete.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Like it, but my personal bias that one of the babies probably gets his own course (speaking 'bout Baby Luigi)

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Bowser jr could get his own cousre where you race on and around Megaleg.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Megaleg is huge, but I don't think he's big enough to be a course of his own

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Well, another idea of mine would be a track where you bounce between ships on bowser juniors starship armada even though they already did that with bowser juniors airship fortress on the DS.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Nah, Airship Fortress contains only one fortress and one airship. And it didn't belong to Bowser Jr. anyway.
