Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I guess they could do a track that revolves around bowser jr starship armada. Or somthing of that nature.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I would like that. It would further put Super Mario Galaxy references out and it would fit Bowser Jr.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Baby park is so much fun, when you have four players and some mountain dew. This is a recipe for disaster.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Well, that's it. I still don't think he should be his own course, unless he's a section of a course

Baby Park is also only fun in Mario Kart Double Dash.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I did have an Airship themed track in mind, but as an added twist, it actually belongs to King K. Rool.

At today's standards, I do not see that happening. It's not like Mario is what it used to be (adding Pacman into one game). Well hopefully, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team as well as other Luigi games will bring it back up.

I think he was being sarcastic

This is true. Double dash is also one of the best mario kart games in history, but I diegress.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

What about a theme park that's owned by Yoshi? Maybe parts of the track could involve the roller coaster.

I was. I was making fun of MnSG's suggestion for randomly putting a character from a different series.

We have that in Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 and 2 and it's been done perfectly

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

I'd like to see a track that's set in the Beanbean Kingdom.

*50 years later*

I'd fancy a raceway that's positioned in that one Bean-place no one's seen since 2003...

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

If Nintendo even thinks about adding RPG stuff in their games, then I'd be happy.

Not super happy, but happy

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Only Fawful should be allowed.

Someone like Count Bleck is as bad as Honey Queen.

I'd rather not have any RPG characters in it.

Reason?

I think they're too obscure to appear in Mario Kart. They should stay in their games and that's it.

And yes, before you say it, I know King Goomba's origin is Paper Mario and still appeared in Mario Kart DS but I don't want that to happen again.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Well, king goomba reappeared as goomboss in SM64DS, and was named in MKDS as such, so that doesn't really count. Anyways, I think Fawful would be appropriate, but other RPG characters would be too obscure IMO.

The point isn't what kind of game where characters were originated. We're asking for suitable and major characters, and most RPG characters have only one guest appearance as a minor character.
But no matter what, any character from Mario universe has a chance, and you shouldn't oppose it.

Fawful can be considered as recurring, and some characters still have future possible appearances (eg, Parakarry). Beside appearaces, some cases like species representives or maybe weight requirements (Mmi as new light female racer, etc) are considerable.

Re: Mario Kart Wii U

Still, the odds of an RPG character being used outside an RPG title is quite shallow.

How 'bout a cameo or something? The Star Spirits were pretty cool in Mario Party 5

That could be nice. Maybe cameos are acceptable. After all, Paper Mario's Bowser's Castle appeared in the background of Mario Kart Super Circuit's Rainbow Road.

Plus, Star Spirits and everything related to Paper Mario 64 and Thousand-Year Door is awesome.
