Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Re: Mario Kart 8

I have a suggestion, how about we have no Rainbow Road, and mix things a with a new final course.

No.

I actually really like the fact that they introduce a Rainbow Road as a final course in each game. I really think it defines the Mario Kart series, and I would really enjoy if they kept the tradition. I mean, it's not like as though it was the exact same Rainbow Road each time anyways.

Re: Mario Kart 8

This game can have such a great Rainbow Road with anti-gravity.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Yeah I know. Everyone's thinking about how this Rainbow Road will be totally boss with the anti-gravity n all

Re: Mario Kart 8

An anti-gravity Rainbow Road sounds interesting. Let's see if it gets to beat Double Dash's Rainbow Road's difficulty, which is, in my opinion, the hardest Rainbow Road so far.

Re: Mario Kart 8

If it weren't for that helix bend, I would still think that the original Rainbow Road from SMK on 150cc would be by far the hardest.

I think that the reason why most courses in MKDD were hard was because of the bouncy physics that make it really hard to keep straight when going fast and when trying to pull off specific shortcuts *looks at Dino Dino Jungle*

Re: Mario Kart 8

Which is why the faulty controls should be blamed instead of the courses themselves. I found GCN courses much easier on later games.

I have not thought about that until I saw that comment. And then I immediately just got a little scared and excited at the same time because I have a feeling that it will be awesome - if they use that potential.

Omg, now I'm really looking forward to the game.

Re: Mario Kart 8

They can really put a Galaxy spin on an anti-gravity Rainbow Road, so I'm looking forward to that. Also, this game has potential to make a deep-underwater course (which is all underwater) and to make a course that is mostly gliding.

Re: Mario Kart 8

so what would be the final track for the retro cups?

personally, i think it'd be n64 rainbow road since mk7 used snes rainbow road as its final track for the retro cups

Re: Mario Kart 8

I'm sure it would be a Rainbow Road for a final track but we don't know if they'll go in order or not.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Just because SNES rainbow Road was the final track doesn't make N64 the next one automatically. N64 Bowser's Castle was the last one in MKW, what about GCN Bowser's Castle? I like a new rainbow road every game, however I don't want any retro ones returning. Though the DS one could make nice use of anti gravity.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Koopalings are an all-or-nothing deal, you put one you have to put in all 7. Ludwig may be an exception, I think I had him in a couple of my rosters, but I really think they are an all-or-nothing deal. Still better than Boom-Boom though.

Re: Mario Kart 8

if you're including n64 rainbow road put it in the leaf cup

it's long but i didn't find it particularly difficult

Re: Mario Kart 8

Even if they scale it down it to a reasonable size would be painfully long. Maybe increase the speed as well...

If they include N64 Rainbow Road, they'd better either give it sections, or 2 laps.

This should only really be applied onto the online version of the track, just to ensure that no online races take longer than 3 minutes to finish. In other words...

N64 Rainbow Road - Offline version: 3 laps
N64 Rainbow Road - Online version: 3 sections

Re: Mario Kart 8

Or just extend the stupid online time limit

Re: Mario Kart 8

I just hope this game is as "violent" (or "dynamic") as Mario Kart 64 and Double Dash were. Sometimes, I feel DS, Wii and 7 are way too slow.

Re: Mario Kart 8

personally only mk game that feels fast that ive played is double dash.

slow series in general.
