Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Re: Mario Kart 8

Hi, chillv. This is a thread about Mario Kart 8. Now, thanks for reading and thank you so much for playing my game.

Anyway, again, I hope Gamepad gyroscope can be turned off.

Darnit!

Anyway, I hope they use the flying and swimming thing a bit more than they did with Mario Kart 7.

Anyway, how do you guys feel about Sprawling Savannah? I personally feel that in one of the parts of the level, when you are in the cat suit it (and I quote) "makes you feel wild and free". In fact, this level makes me understand how animals in captivity feel compared to in the wild.

The only thing I felt was the terrible draw distance lol

Re: Mario Kart 8

I like the openness, but this openness felt so empty. And plus, the small draw distance is hard to overlook.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Luckily, poor draw distance is not a thing in Mario Kart

Re: Mario Kart 8

I want a zebra-themed bike so badly. :zebra:

Re: Mario Kart 8

If it's middleweight, Mario's bike should be pink and rainbow and have giant wings.

Re: Mario Kart 8

I bet it's actually just Wario's car pimped up.

Re: Mario Kart 8

All I'm hoping for right now is either Baby Mario or Rosalina. If both, they I'll be happy, but I just want at least one of those two. Baby Mario preferrably.

I know it's most likely, but I really hope it's worthwhile. Now...I'm wondering what new karts/bikes there'll be.

I'm definitely a bike player more than a kart player. I just find that riding bikes are more my game, and I definitely am a light-touch drifter (meaning that I'm very skilled at drifting). I just liked the Bit Bike/Nano Bike a lot, and honestly another one like that will come with this game.

I never cared about or even realized draw distance in video games. In fact, I used to not know what pop-out, pop-in or draw distance was until I got exposed to the internet.

To be honest, I can make a list of all things I don't care about in video games.

Anyway, I wonder what retro courses are in this game.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Huh, I've always noticed draw distance, I just didn't have a term back then (I called it, the thing that disappears when you walk far enough). I always think it's funny when the draw distance is bad.

Well, I hope none get butchered as how Koopa Beach did in Mario Kart 7.

Don't worry, those two are surely coming back. Especially Rosalina because of her appearance in Super Mario 3D World.

Re: Mario Kart 8

I hope they come back. The thought of Baby Mario being an unlockable makes me somewhat balk, though.

I think of it this way: unlockable = more special than the others.

that really depends on how much you want to play as that character.

Well, actually yes. I'll never see Baby Daisy or Diddy Kong being more special than Yoshi.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Besides, Baby Luigi being unlockable = no sexy cool game art other than him lazily pasted on a Standard Kart S

Re: Mario Kart 8

I'd like to use my most favorite characters right off the bat, and if we don't get another Mario Tennis (Game Boy Color) where my favorite character is actually unlockable for once, (or in Mario Golf 64, unlockable in single player) I'll be good.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Heres an idea, make the characters unlockable by buying them instead of meeting requirements. That way, the player can unlock characters they actually want to unlock. In fact, they should do this with all unlockables. I remember crying because I couldn't unlock Bowser Jr. (he's my favorite character).

However, they should just not make characters unlockable period. Their just characters, I feel it is ridiculous to make someone meet certain requirements just so they can play as their favorite character. Isn't unlockable karts, tracks and parts enough? Give the player at least "something" from the get go. I am sick of this unlockables trend in gaming in replacement to fake replay value.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Having to buy characters seems way too excessive. That should pretty much be restricted to vehicle parts.
