The game has been out for a while now. It's not impossible to unlock everything in that time. I don't think it would be at least.

I finally played the game. I really liked the learning curve: it's so easy to learn how to play. It reminded me of Mario Golf 64, which is always a good thing.
I still think it should've been made for the Wii U, though. Imagine the game in glorious HD... I hope they remake it for the Wii U in the near future, pretty much like they remade Donkey Kong Country Returns for a different console.

I honestly prefer something like this on the 3DS. My favourite course so far is the Forest Course and that is literally as simple as the course designs get. I don't need HD to enjoy this game, it suits a handheld more.
I got -14 on the World Tournament. I nearly got an Eagle Chip-In on one of the last few holes but I hit the pole; I was more proud that I was so accurate with my aim that it hit the pole when it was 3/4 of the medium putt's length away even when there were hills that slanted in every direction on the path there (left, right, towards me, towards the hole).
It's enough for a silver trophy so I'm content. I need to do that for the other tournaments now.
EDIT: -14 must be my number today, got it for the Double Peoria too. yay~

In other news, I'm fairly certain the second round of DLC is coming out tomorrow, since that's when the DLC Coin Rush 2 tournament ends. I'm basically guessing each wave will be coming out in 2 week intervals to allow time for their respective tournaments to start and end. And speaking of the DLC, I finally got it.

I just re did the Fixed Character Coin Rush. I got 674 and a gold trophy. Uh, I was convinced Gold was only given to the top 10. I don't know why though.
Maybe it's top 1000? I don't really understand the criteria for what I get awarded. I'm rank 908. Fuck you Jared G! I am the better Australian! The top 10 are all Japanese too.

I checked at about 3AM my time and the Flower Pack was there, but I wasn't getting any prompts to download it and it already said I did for some reason.

I did it! I got -11 on the Fixed Item Tournament on Yoshi Lake! 3 hours of doing it! I have a gold and I'm rank 94. If you manage to get -14 you'll be in the top 10. That would require a really long drive though. That's why I probably can't get higher.
Anyway, I'm fucking ecstatic. Just like M4E said, I'm never going to that again...

Okay, just for the record Nabbit's eagle / albatross / hole-in-one animation is easily the best thing I've ever seen, hands down and thumbs up.
I managed to do the One-On, One-Putt challenge last night, yet my confidence was still crushed by this game's decision to have another in-game One-On, One-Putt challenge twice as long and to force me to do two more Challenges as short as the original. The second Star Coin Collector challenge is also seriously frustrating and I can't figure it out to save my life.

I just take a look at the direction and move a little to the opposite direction for each one. It also depends on how steep the hill is, if it's really steep I'll go over by half a fingernail size (usually ends badly if it isn't as steep as I thought) but if it isn't I'll go slightly over the recommended distance. If I have steep hills facing left/right as well as towards me I'll make sure to either hit harder so that the direction isn't changed so much or move further in a direction because when the ball slows down it's affected by the hills more.
I don't know, that's just how I view it and it usually works for me if I'm not in the middle of a day where I severely misjudge distance. It also helps to not be so far away from the hole, but I find myself getting birdies more often when I'm really far away rather than a decent length away.
Oh, I got my first albatross too. Yoshi Lake's first hole.
EDIT: and another Gold on the coin rush tournament. 812 coins, 79th place.
EDIT2: after that gold luck, I got 5:23:70 on speed golf. Silver is 5:23.59 and higher atm. I am literally one rank below silver (207). I can see that trophy right there. I'm just going to hope a bunch of people that suck play so that I can fit into the required percentage for silver.
