fucking blue shells

always at the finish line

Hopefully the affected people can recover quickly, I saw it on news this morning.

Also the Brentalfloss comic didn't release their comic today because they thought it would be insensitive because it had the phrase 'no survivors'. I thought that was mature of them.

Is it bad that I found this funny?

What about that failed car bomb in Times Square?

Also, I would assume this is domestic because no terrorist group has claimed responsibility yet. As far as I'm aware.

This reminds me more of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bomb, actually.

I finally found out that my neighbour, who ran in the marathon, is okay. He finished five minutes before the explosions happened. If he had been only a couple minutes slower... It's a scary thought...

If anything, I'm happy that nobody remenbers who did the Newtown shooting, just the events itself, like it should be, and I hope this happens in this case too.

huh? Of course people remember who did the Newtown shooting.

Unrelated note: tis a sick world we live in, but we can't let a handful of misled, insane, or just plain cruel people ruin it for us.

My prayers go out to all affected by the bombing.

Three people only were killed, luckily it wasn't more, I mean a bomb like that might have wiped out about fifty and it was right in the middle of the crowd too.

My friend's relative was supposed to be racing, but had to cancel for some reason. Very lucky.

am I the only one hearing that one of the runners was supposedly killed in the Newtown school, or is this just weird people telling me some reddit bullshit

edit: also yesterday was the Korean emporer's birthday and they did say they'd bomb the US. Don't really remember if this has been said but it made me realize this made me forget about Korea, who seems to be responsible when you remember this

This year's marathon was held in memory of Newtown

wait, what?

I tried to finish that before someone posted after me and rushed it

Looks like Korea could be responsible when you look at the fact that yesterday was the birthday of their old emporer and they were celebrating, and they had threated the US with bombing. I don't know if this has been brought up before, but the explosion made me forget all about Korea

Yeah, no. Korea is not going to be responsible. Bombing a marathon? 1. It doesn't sound like something North Korea would do, considering they've been isolated for 50 years 2. If they were going to bomb it, they would do it somewhere government-related. and 3. If it was them, they would have taken responsibility, they would WANT people to know they did it.

I'm sure North Korea would LIKE us to think that they were responsible, but I doubt it. It's more likely that it was just a crazy person.

I guess last year was the year of the shootings, and this year will be the year of bombings...

I really don't want this to continue happening. I mean, last year with all the shootings, and now this year with bombings in both America and over in the Middle East, it's really sad to see all this happen.

And yes, I do believe it is domestic terrorism as well. I'm just afraid what will come next, and where. Like, I don't want to sound pessimistic, but who knows what major - or minor - city could have something like that happen without warning. It's really sad.
