Due to both versions having different stages, there will be no cross-platform play between the two.

I guess that means Arena Ferox will be an exclusive stage, if Chrom doesn't make the cut I was kind of hoping Awakening would get some kind of representation on the Wii U.

Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion

If Chrom makes the cut then I hope he has feet.

I don't think the 3DS will limit the Wii U version like everyone's worrying about. Just because they're having some trouble with certain characters now, doesn't mean they aren't going to try and fix it.

Even if the games come out at different times I won't mind. I'll still try to buy both.

I don't see why you needed to point out the obvious. I never expected cross platform play and the trailer obviously showed different stages for the different versions.

Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion

I don't think it's that obvious, honestly

Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion

it's more obvious for people that dont expect it

its less obvious for dreamers

Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion

So obviously I'm a dreamer

an upcoming update for NSMBU will allow pro controller support

but here's the thing about the gamecube controller thing

you need to just tap start once for select

double start for start

and hold start for the home button

So, I don't get what you're saying. What "Gamecube Controller thing"?

I don't get what you people see in Waluigi. I would prefer Toad for a new Mario rep, or Bowser Jr. before a spin-off only character.
Don't confuse the things. Being in spinoff-only is Nintendo's fault, not a bad excuse to use.

Not only the fact that no more room for Mario reps (we even should kick some out), but Wauligi and Bowser Jr are obviously not in the first row. Judging with popularity and majoirity, the first should be Toad.

If Waluigi could have been a major character in Wario games, he might have a chance. Now the chance could be taken away by Mona or Jimmy instead.

I'm pretty sure Toon Link's already been confirmed to be cut, so... I guess it's already sucking?
This is why I should check my posts before publishing them -___- I don't care about Toon Link since it's a clone.
I don't hate him as an alterego. However, it's a concern if more Toon Zelda games would come out. And even though toon arts are cute, we're going to have more child-like characters, which relatively reduces the necessity of Toon Link.

Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion

I have a feeling maybe the 'customization' might mean bringing over some sort of character buff for a story mode. But it says we wouldn't have to unlock it so that's probably wrong.

Any ideas on what it might end up being?

Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion

So is the game just going to be called "SSB for Wii U/3DS" with no subtitle, or is it tentative?

I think someone said that was the name, but then I heard that it wasn't true so I'm not too sure at the moment.

It's only a name but I can see how people would hate it if it was it's final name since the past two games have had good subtitles. Either way I don't mind, subtitle or not it's still the same game.

Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion

Well the japanese releases were called DX and X so I dont think they really care about subtitles either

The "character movies" lead me to believe that each character will have an individual ending, which is the norm for most fighting games. I hope that's what he means here.

I feel like I was the only one who liked Subspace. I'm actually replaying it right now.

And if they just throw in Adventure More or something from Melee and don't give us a full story it will be a disappointment.

dont worry i liked subspace a lot myself, it was a shame there wasnt much character personalities and some bad level design though.

Personally i'd like to see something else like subspace just with a bit better level design and actual personality, although endings could be done for classic mode too, since people still like that.

Yep. Kinda want to see how it's done, since subspace had no dialogue, so it'd be a nice change of pace.

But... Kirby never talks. Or Link. Or Ness. Or the Ice Climbers. Or ROB. Etc, etc.
