Does anyone think custom stages will return? (preferably with a spawn setter so I don't need to have my battle arena having spikes at the top so I can have a closed box)

Maybe, with some small improvements but not enough to be seriously considered.

Something I'd like to see in this game is the characters having Final Smashes that actually reflect their games. So not made up stuff like the Mario Finale. Here are my ideas.

Mario- Mega Mushroom

Link- Light Arrows

Pikachu- Volt Tackle

Kirby- Ultra Sword

Fox- Landmaster

Samus- Power Bombs

Donkey Kong- Hurls several massive barrels

Luigi- Poltergust

Jigglypuff- Hyper Voice

Ness- PSI Rockin

Captain Falcon- Blue Falcon

Peach- Something involving the vibe scepter

Bowser- Giant Bowser

Zelda- Light Arrow

Sheik- Light Arrow

Ganondorf- Ganon (controllable)

Falco- Arwing

Marth- Not sure

Ice Climbers- Iceberg (Not much else you can do)

Mr. Game and Watch- Octopus

Diddy Kong- Rocket Barrel Barrage

Wario- Wario Man

Toon Link- Something with the Wind Waker

Charizard- Mega Charizard

Lucario- Mega Lucario

Meta Knight- Not sure

King Dedede- Waddle Dee Army

Zero Suit Samus- Not sure

Wolf- Something involving Andross

Pit- Three Sacred Treasures

Olimar- Pikmin Swarm

Meta Knight could summon the Meta-Knights or something.


Samus is still using the Zero Laser, though.

Pic of the day. Here's Charizard's new special attack, Flare Blitz. It's a very powerful attack--however, you'll take recoil damage if you make contact. Pretty true to the original game, huh? Flare Blitz is Charizard's side special move, and Rock Smash is the down special move.

And here's Mega Charizard X. This will appear as Charizard's Final Smash.

Not gonna lie, I totally thought the first image was Captain Falcon doing a Falcon Punch.

It seems Wednesday might become a trophy showcase day and I am totally ok with that. This also strengthens Captain Charlie's chance to become playable. Who doesn't want to play as Charlie?

Even though it is slashed, I definitely wouldn't want Charlie playable. Alph I can see, Brittany was the other (but now deconfirmed), and Charlie wouldn't really make sense in terms of importance. He's the captain and all, but Alph and Brittany had more to do with the game than Charlie did.

I am so confused with that logic.

You don't need all three of them in order to play as them for Smash.

That would be like saying that Mario couldn't be playable since you would need all the playable characters in some of his games, like Toad, Daisy, Waluigi, etc.

Pic of the day. The unexpected Assist Trophy, the TV-Game 15! Color TV-Game 15 is a home entertainment system that was released in 1977 in Japan before the release of Space Invaders. This is the oldest game to join the Smash Bros. series.

Normally, controllers for these types of games had knobs with variable resistors--these allowed the players to control in-game movement by how far they twisted the knobs. The TV-Game 15 used microswitches instead. We've worked a little too hard to reenact the behavior of the original, so the paddles always move in linear paths with the same, consistent speed. We pay attention to such peculiar details!

Pretty big, but pretty obvious news too. I'm happy, especially since the Villager can have different facial expressions. I hope they have the drowsy one aka all my Animal Crossing character faces.

YES! After Male Wii Fit Trainer was announced, I was vying for this to happen. Being an avatar character like WFT, it makes so much sense for Villager to have a gender option as well. The faces are tied to a certain alt by the looks of it, which is alright I guess (I really like the yellow 6 shirt but hate the face of the villager who's wearing it, meh).

I just hope the girl Villager is a full alt with separate colours and doesn't occupy half of the Villagers costumes, 'cause that'd suck. Same goes for Male Wii Fit Trainer.
