PewPewU, the guy who played Mario at the invitational says he feels middle tier. So that's better than Brawl at least. Again, it's probably too early to start talking about tiers.Maᴙio said:Gee, I hope he's at least Middle Tier. I'd still use him if he's lower tier, but c'mon, I hate it when nearly everyone else feels better than him.Armin Arlert said:Magikrazy said:The tier lists are going to be really long to incorporate all the possible combinations of moves.
Mario - Top Tier in these 6 combos, Middle tier in these 7 combos, and Lower tier in the rest. :p
You know, at first I really didn't like it. I also thought it was going to be Brawl 2.0 until I really got into the groove with it. It is a very unique smash bros game, which was offputting for many veteran smashers. I eventually found myself feeling similar things that I do with melee. The drive, the aggression, the yearning for victory-- even the salt. The game clearly needs to be tweaked, but then again this is like a beta version of the game and there is still plenty of time for change!
Tl;dr... twas fun!

I had to adjust for Melee, I had to adjust for Brawl. I'm sure I can adjust to this game. All three games have different physics despite having same controls and all. I think that's a scenario for every new Smash game, so I like it how it's different from Brawl. It may be for the better.GalacticPetey said:Speaking of PewPewU, he had this to say about the game.

Kirby top tier? I hope so!GalacticPetey said:CT ZeRo gives his initial thoughts on characters. Keep in mind this "tier list" is just his initial reactions to a demo. This will probably not look like the final tier list at all.

Please don't nerf my Marth.
Donkey Kong sucked so bad in brawl. And if he doesn't I can't joke around about him anymore.GalacticPetey said:Again, this is his early first impressions from a demo. Odds are it will look nothing like this. But the possibility of a viable DK excites me.

Yeah but they are both pretty popular characters. You would think they would have announced them by now.Mio Akiyama said:ah, but dragonfreak they also haven't been de-confirmed either.
This.GalacticPetey said:Characters like Ness, Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, and Falco are usually unlockable so they won't be shown until after the Japanese version launches.
