I'm not even biased against it. It's REALLY hard to make a post in there until it gets swallowed by countless new topics being created. I'm not being daft about this: I've been to GameFAQs longer than I have been here. But you asked for it:

It's a mess. Half of the topics in this page talks about Chrom, and if you try refreshing once, the page drastically changes.

I'm still waiting for a Kirby newcomer.

Bandanna Dee is the only character I can see filling in that fourth Kirby spot. Even then, we already know waddle dees are in smash run, so his chances don't look too good.

There's also Magolor in his normal form if that works, and it'd add another villain to the Smash roster. A moveset could be derived from his appearances in Return to Dreamland and the Dream Collection. His final smash, as unoriginal as it is, could be turning into his final boss form. I hadn't thought about him as a possibility until a few people on different sites brought it up, and I wouldn't mind seeing him, although Bandana Dee does have seniority, I guess, and a unique attack method as well. Highly doubt we're getting a fourth Kirby rep, at least in this game.

I think Bandana Dee would be picked in the (honestly not that likely) event that Kirby gets a newcomer, but I'd definitely prefer Magolor.

A little disappointed Chrom didn't make the cut as a playable character, as well as Lucina being a potential clone. I think they could've opened up her moveset by adding the lance and shield from her Great Lord class or opening it up even more by throwing in weapons from her potential reclasses. But I'm judging too early, maybe there are some bigger differences we haven't seen yet.

Anyway, I'm still happy Awakening got some love. It's a nice surprise, I barely thought Lucina and Robin had that big of a chance alone, much less both of them.

Masked Lucina as an alternate costume seems like a no-brainer, but I'd like to see Morgan as an alt for Robin.

On another note, why are we not talking about Kellam's confirmation?

Now that I think about it, they could both give her standard and aerial attacks different properties (maybe she won't have the whole tip being stronger thing, idk) and mess around with her customizable specials in a different way than they will with Marth.

It's too early to tell I guess.

Pic of the day. Along with Robin, Lucina joins the battle!! Her physical ablilites are identical to Marth's--it must be in her D.N.A. However, where Marth's power is concentrated in the tip of the sword, Lucina's attack strength is balanced throughout the weapon, which might make her easier to control. She's also a little bit shorter than Marth.

With the Wii Fit Trainers, the male and female Robins, the Villagers, and Little Mac, varying their appearances and voices works just like selecting alternate color variations. However, whenever there is even a small difference in abilities, that character gets an actual roster slot. That is why you can select Lucina individually.

By the way…there's probably no chance you'll be able to see this in the game, but Lucina has the mark of Naga in her left eye.

Lucina is a semi-clone, but she still seems to be very different from Marth.

Luigi's a green Mario, yet he's been given enough of a distinction to make him more than just a Mario clone.

At any rate, it hasn't even been 24 hours, so if you're already bothered by everyone's disappointment, you're gonna have a fun week ahead of you.

Well I guess clone characters are always present in some way. Toon Link is a semi-clone of Link, so we already knew that some would exist. Most of the clones in Melee were created quickly to pad out the roster.

Lucina probably took far less time to make than a brand new character would, so I don't think that removing her would mean we would have a different character in her place. She's like a bonus.

I really like how Sakurai wrote the thing about the clone stuff. Even if there is a minor difference, he's going to make a new character. That just shows that he's not going to make clones unless there is a good enough reason to have a slight alteration in moves from the original character they are based off of. That is why Lucina is not a Marth color swap while the Villager girls/other boy and Wii Fit Trainer Male are.

This basically proves that there will be no Clones in Sm4sh, but some semi-clones like Lucina and Toon Link.

Just before anyone starts complaining about clone characters, let me say something. Lucina did not take a roster spot away from a unique character. In Melee, the clones were added late in development to expand the roster. Sakurai could either have the six clones, or only one unique fighter. He went with the six additional characters.

Basically, Lucina did not take up someone's spot. It's either clone Lucina or no one at all. And for those complaining about Chrom, if he had gotten in, he would've been the Marth clone and Lucina would likely be Robin's final smash. Lucina was probably chosen due to her being female.

Also; Gamefaqs logic: "Lucina seems to be a Marth Clone (not even a semiclone, as much of a clone as Roy was). While I disagree that Roy was a total clone (I view him as a semi-clone because to me the drastic sweet spot differences alone justify calling him a semi-clone), it is commonly accepted that he is a total clone. With total clones back, the 1st name that came to many peoples minds was "Daisy". Therefore, they thought that Daisy was going to be in as a total clone of Peach."

I think that is very cool that we are going to see all the characters and stages in the 3DS version. We should spread the word.

also reddit pointed out that her counter animation is different from Marth's and apparently her neutral aerial hits more times than Marth's (though I haven't seen that second point myself). Do with that what you will.

To clarify, I'm glad Lucina made it in, I was hoping one of the two lords would make the cut.

And while I understand the argument of time and efort, when one of the characters you've been wanting the most turns out to be a clone, you can't help but feel a little disappointed.
