I don't see what's so great about those stages either.

Especially Jungle Japes and their over-powered Klaptraps

Can we at least use a different one ala Mario Kart.

Like I dunno, the good original Super Smash Bros. stages like Hyrule Castle?

I'm kinda annoyed that Brinstar and Jungle Japes are returning, I'd prefer stages that haven't returned already.

I'd prefer returning stages on the 3DS that don't suck. I never really liked any of the Metroid stages, save for maybe Norfair, so I hope Pyrosphere isn't the only one because it's another "dull looking stage from Metroid with lava or acid". Would've preferred something like Sanctuary Fortress or Torvus Bog from Metroid Prime 2 or Elysia from Prime 3.

I have lots of nostalgia for Brinstar, but I can understand why people would be annoyed with it returning again.
Edit: Just noticed that post, but yeah, Aether and Prime 3 could make some pretty good stages(better than the Frigate at least).

Why didn't they return Frigate Orpheon instead :/

I mean sure, the 3DS has a focus on handheld installments or whatever but still...

Those can't be the only ones. If they are, I'd prefer if they actually make an original costume for this game.

No other characters are getting made-for-Smash costumes, why should Samus?

What's so wrong with this one, anyways? I've seen chicks wear this kind of stuff at the gym, and I don't see people complaining about chicks wearing gym clothes...

Guys she's a game character. Here opinion is a program. Nintendo could make her dance on a pole naked if they had the mind to do so. If she was real I'd understand. But she's not so why complain....also this made me realize I'd kill to see a live action Smash Bros Film.

If they did make her dance on a pole naked, that would make the case for the feminists even stronger because most importantly, Zero Suit Samus has never officially done that. And you're wrong: sexist portrayal (I'm not talking about some minor outfit design choices or "sluts", I'm talking about objectification and the like) of women in media is a serious issue which leads to reflection on real life. Just like how stereotyping to Native Americans in media garners a huge misconception about them.

I still don't see where the argument for feminism is. If this was something out of the blue, I would probably be angry about it too, but as has been said, this is a nod to previous games in the series.

I was not a fan of that stage, I hated that flip it always happened when I was in a place where I'd be unable to recover.

And it's not really a good representation of the Prime series because you were only on it for a few minutes.

It's like the first level though with the first boss. I'm pretty sure it's a memorable stage.

Listen, we could have gotten Magmoor Caverns instead.....I wish they used Phendrana Drifts though, mostly because I like the music there.

Those feminists who choose to use fiction as an example of feminism in real life must be either really insecure or running out of bullcrap to complain about. ITS A GOT DAMN GAME!

I personally wouldn't want Magmoor either, Smash has enough lava/acid Metroid stages as it is.

Exactly. Phendrana Drifts would be a nice change of those.

I don't really know any other Metroid Prime game, only the first one.

I hate furthering an argument but you clearly don't understand the concept of misconceptions. I used Native Americans as an example. Stereotyping also leads to racism, as evident with minor communities here such as some we face here in Los Angeles.

The same thing applies to females, though I guess it's less serious of a problem than blatant stereotyping of ethnic groups, but you still shouldn't outright dismiss it.

Now can we please stop debating this? Thanks.

Yeah, there are a lot of things I could see them doing with Phendrana-the ruins area, the pirate base, hell, put it in the quarantine cave and have Thardus as a stage hazard.

And have those Shegoths there (I think that's what those crystal-backed blue two-legged things are called).

I really don't like it how they resort to using lava-related stages to represent Metroid. It's just...shows a lack of creativity.

EDIT: I think this would be a cool alternate outfit for ZZS

From a Metroid manga or something.

Lava stages aren't even that common either. In the whole Prime trilogy, I think there are only 2 areas heavily based around lava(And one of them isn't even actual lava, for that matter).

So yeah, there's misconceptions about Metroid being mostly lava-based just as Fire Emblem being a sword hacking game.

Thanks Sakurai. >________>

After they managed to get the Black Knight's sword wrong, I'm convinced that Smash devs just don't know anything about Fire Emblem.

There quote a lot of mistakes in the Trophy descriptions.

I thought both of these before I played both franchises and realized it is completely wrong.

Fire Emblem according to Smash:

Fire Emblem according to everyone else:

I can't argue against that, Fire Emblem does have a disproportionate amount of blue hair.
