Thankfully you can do the sudden death matches in the 3DS version if you use handicaps, so that's me partially satisfied.

Also I finally got another outfit in Classic Mode so I've cleared the first panel's challenges and immediately got 23 of the next one's.

i was wondering about the music in the 3ds version
i thought that each stage had two songs for it, but when i go to the sound test i noticed some series that only have one stage (mega man, xenoblade) have 3 or more songs
are the songs just used somewhere else in the game, or what?

Pretty sure those are options for Smash Run.

got the game, loving it

-I've literally been playing smash run nonstop to unlock all of my favourite characters' custom moves (because trying to get them in Classic Mode is a pain), I've gotten all of Duck Hunt Duo's, Wii Fit Trainer's, Wario's and Mr Game and Watch's. I've also gotten heaps of mii hats in the process. why this mode isn't online compatible i'll never know
-^made a Kamek mii fighter with the magic hat and mage outfit, it's like the only Mii fighter I use because he's so good
-I love the exclusive equipment items for each character such as protein pills for Wii Fit Trainer, zappers for DHD, batteries and microchips for Mr G&W etc., but using them in battle is annoying (auto heal is shit)
-Robin is beast. i fight for my friends is alright
-MAGICANT IS AMAZING nothing more to be said
-haven't tried online yet since I've been away. I've heard it's ok, but when it lags it's really bad (so nothing new, right?)
-challenges are ok, but it sucks how you can't save the picture you unlock. having to unlock custom moves via challenges is a horrible idea as well. (high score in home run contest is 713.5 with villager btw)

Man, I love how you have no invincibility frames in Smash Run so if you get hit in a group of enemies you're basically fucked, especially if the enemies are fucking Devil Cars, Boom Stompers, Starmen, and Bulborbs.

I also love how the Skuttler Mage can hit you 100 times when you have no chance to attack because of invincibility frames and he basically eats all your food.

I love how Ornes can spawn one step away from you.

I really love how you get customs for every character BESIDES THE ONE YOU ARE FUCKING PLAYING AS. I LOVE HOW I HAD TO SPEND ONE HOUR IN SMASH RUN TO GET PEACH'S LAST CUSTOM. I FUCKING HATE PLAYING AS PEACH.

this explains every issue i have with smash run in one convenient post (sans how you can't see the other fighter's stats until the end of the 5 minutes and how 'newsmash' blocks the whole top of the map and your collected items, which honestly wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't constantly backlogged with 'pit has opened a treasure chest' messages)

I like Smash Run, but it's definitely flawed and the lack of online for it is pathetic.

To defeat a Boom Stomper, you apparently have to aim for the leaf on top. I heard that from the trophy, but I haven't actually tested it. Good luck!

Yes, I hate how hard it is to get custom moves.

To the new Kirby stage (the castle and tower from Sector 3 and the minecarts from The Great Cave Offensive can be seen) it would be awesome if it's a massive stage that you get to explore. Imagine exploring the entire Great Cave Offensive! This may also be one of the few stages without an Omega version.

Oh, no, I have defeated many Boom Stompers, it's just that they're impossible when there's 50 other enemies in the same place.

This apparently happens when you hit the Starman assist trophy with a Smash Attack. Amazing reference.

I can confirm this because I just tried it (you have to kill it with Smash attack). It also plays the sound effect of when you get a Smash attack from EarthBound. Utterly amazing. If Lucas and Mother 3 weren't taken out of Smash Bros, this would've been the ultimate EarthBound fanservice game.

Also, as for the new Kirby stage, I'm kinda surprised they went with GCO (if it is even a stage) because not many people like that mode (I loved it, though). Still hoping for an Epic Yarn or Kirby 64 stage.

Pic of the day. Conquest mode is now open to overseas players. This is when things finally get serious. We've increased the frequency for updates, too. The Global Smash Power rankings will get interesting with more players involved. Connect online, and keep updating your status. This screenshot is the result from the last Conquest challenge. Nothing really interesting, but it's nice that Sakurai is making sure that this mode does not go ignored. I want to see Captain Falcon vs. Ike!
