Thank God Hanenbow was left out. Worst stage in the history of Smash.

It makes me burn with rage every time I see the Ice Climbers were actually going to be in this game and they were cut because of the unnecessary 3DS version. Talk about a stupid, unfair decision.

The Ice Climber's cut was especially painful because everyone fully expected them to return.

I don't really remember anyone liking them until they were cut. I'm pretty sure the only reason people miss the Ice Climbers is that they were in Brawl and there hadn't been a character cut after appearing in two games before they were.

I miss them because I loved their unique moveset, find them to be cool characters, generally like the concept of retro characters, and hate entirely cutting out a Nintendo franchise from playable representation. They're the only cut character I've missed, to be honest (I don't think Mewtwo, Lucas, or Wolf should have been cut either but I don't miss them that much).

I would have liked a solo Ice Climber with four Popo and four Nana costumes.

And replace Belay with the Condor lifting them up since belay would be useless without the other climber.

I would have taken a solo Ice Climber over no Ice Climber for sure, and their up b was my least favorite of their moves so I wouldn't have minded if it was replaced either way.

Me too, but come on, there was no need to cut them. It's so unfair that they got cut because of the far inferior 3DS version and us Wii U users can't have them because a game we don't even have can't handle them.

Whatever. They were supposed to return and I'm sure they will be back in the next game (given that they don't make the horrible mistake of pairing up versions for different consoles again).

I'm supposed to get Mewtwo since I got Smash Bros. 3DS and Smash Bros. Wii U, but my sister ALSO has Smash Bros. 3DS. Looks like we have to pay some extra for the one additional 3DS game, which just freaking sucks.

Mewtwo will be available as Paid DLC for both versions eventually. Those who registered both versions (Wii U and 3DS) to Club Nintendo recieve a code to get Mewtwo free and earlier then the Paid DLC Mewtwo.
