I actually didn't post it in relation to the argument from last night. It's just overall still fun results from a social experiment at just how well-known the characters in Smash 4 are even if of course 50 definitely isn't enough to figure into the majority. It still brings a nice sample size and some obvious results like Mario and Pikachu being known by practically all who took the survey and the obscure ones like the Duck Hunt Duo and Shulk get

Unfortunately, no.

It sucks that only three people even recognized the Duck Hunt Dog and Duck. I would say it's the new design, but at least five people should have been able to recognize them. I want to see the ages of the people surveyed.
 
I wonder who was that single person who didn't have a clue who Link was?

the fact that pokemon got 35 (greninja) as its lowest amount shocks me in many ways
 
Of course there was one person in the survey hat who was smash obsessive and named them all while everyone else struggled.
 
here's today's english comment for the pic of the day, if anyone still cares:

In the 3DS version, your fighter gets outlined by your team color. So, how does this work in the Wii U version? Check out this screenshot. In this picture, the outlines may seem faint, but the color intensity is consistent. This means that the farther away and smaller your fighter appears on the screen, the clearer the colors will look.

I would say that Mario, Pikachu, and Link were the most recognizable. There were 4 that had no idea who DK was but only 1 that had no idea who Link was.

I'm a bit impressed at how well they knew the Pokemon.

Missiles are launched towards the Orbital Gate! The force field shields the machinery for a while, and the missiles eventually get shot down by team Star Fox. Overall, this stage feels like a ride. It's pretty hectic, so hold on tight!

Glad to see Star Fox get a stage that isn't just primarily the Great Fox or on a simple four-platform fighter jet(?). And I am really, really happy with the Wii U stages so far. I can't wait to see what the Mother and F-Zero stages will be like <333
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the versions just shared Magicant and Mute City.
