Troll?! I'm just stating my opinions

seriously, nobody has worse opinions than you do

which brings us to the conclusion that you're simply a troll

wait i thought i had the worst opinions around here?

no....

Rather than just all stating your subjective opinions and yelling at each other about them loud enough in hopes that everyone will just simply agree in order to prevent more yelling, how about provide some explanations as to why you think some movies are overrated? Underrated? Shouldn't be on someone's list for whatever reason? There also needs to be some sense of maturity with knowing what is good in terms of personal opinion and taste but is actually not that good of a movie, as well as movies that are technically perfect but just don't interest you at all. This could be a neat topic if there were actual discussions and not childish yelling and accusations.

For example, I recognize that Titanic was a gorgeous movie that was well-researched and filmed and scripted and did deserve the awards it received. I still don't like it. I find it too long and too boring with the actual interesting parts too far dispersed to keep me from wanting to watch it. That's my own taste; it is not a fact. I watched Up the first time the other day and was left feeling disappointed. The story with Ellie in the beginning was heart-wrenching and that was...about it. From all of the hype surrounding that movie based on that individual scene, I sorta expected that feeling to be carried out through the entire thing rather than just gently being nodded at a handful of times. I expected more of an adventurous film and it really wasn't. The film itself was great, but the expectations did not match reality. On the other hand, the James Bond movies The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day are two of my favorite movies and I can watch them over and over and over without getting bored, despite them being considered flops.

It's kinda common knowledge that stating your opinions on the Internet so abruptly as he did is a bad idea. He basically just all out threw his "opinions" at us, stating that most of the best movies over this past year, as per critic reviews, are overrated for no reason whatsoever. The only reason anyone would do that is if they were a troll, and, knowing this guy from past topics, I wouldn't throw the idea out the window. To top it all off, he hasn't even seen those movies, and he's already making snap judgements based on the apparent ratings that they are receiving. It's normal for someone like you to see a movie and judge it, like you just did with Up!, but that's not what he's doing. He's stating "opinions" without any reason to.

The reason why I don't want to see those films is because as you can see, most of the movies in this list are action films, I'm more into Oscar films (except Avatar, I'm surprised it was in the Best Picture category), but Spielberg is an overrated director and most of his movies put me to sleep, as for Raging Bull: I'm a big fan of Scorsese, anything he makes, I'll watch, but after watching this, it's just too violent and I can't believe he punched his wife, I don't get why Scorsese called this his personal favorite movie that he made. Marvel films like The Avengers look a little too goofy, I only watch superhero films that are more dramatic and sad like The Dark Knight

Part of the reason I liked the Avengers was that it was more human and relaxed than the Batman movies (and Man of Steel, for that matter).

But to each his own. I enjoy both, but Avengers had a good sense of humor and managed to pull off the multiple protagonist thing well, which was impressive.

The avengers may not have been as sad and dramatic as the Dark Knight, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a damn good movie. It has a fantastic storyline, actor line-up, cinematography, CGI, and to top it all off, it did something most other movies never consider doing - bring together a bunch of characters from different films into one epic film. It's far from goofy, my boy.

Colonel KR would be disappointed. Not that I care, though, he was disappointed in everyone. Actually, I'm pretty sure that guy would have been disappointed in himself if he wasn't so full-oop you're gone.

Which ones, exactly?
Jaws
E.T.
Indiana Jones
Jurassic Park
Schindler's List
The list goes on, the only one I tolerate is Tintin
You must have been exhausted if you slept through Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. And definitely for Jurassic Park.

I'm just not into action films that much

The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises are more dramatic and serious than other superhero films, that's why I love these movies

They're romantic comedies.

Eh, I'm not going to deny that E.T. wasn't boring, because it honestly was to me and I didn't care much for Jaws either, but the other three you mentioned are fantastic and I don't know why an action movie would put you to sleep. I would think that'd be the last genre of movies to put anyone to sleep, moreso than say something like a romantic comedy or a really long-drawn mystery movie.

Don't know how anyone can watch Back to the Future and call it anything but amazing.

I'm only into action films if they are mostly serious (Dark Knight) or mostly funny (Rush Hour), however I'm only making an exception for the first Die Hard because that movie was pretty damn good, but action films with loads of CGI (Any Marvel or Star Trek movie) just really isn't my thing

well if you dont like action films with cgi you should watch ip man 1 and 2.

Very touching stories and insane fight scenes. Plus if you ever wanted to know who trained bruce lee, that is your movie series.

Wasn't as good as the Batman movies, in my opinion.

But then again I've never really been a Superman fan anyways.
