You don't get better by writing another book.

You get better by listening to what people have to say, and you get better by listening to critics (like myself!) that have absolutely no obligation to lie to make you feel good about yourself. You need critics. That's I'm trying to fucking tell you. Do I need to hammer it into your brain?

YOU NEED CRITICS. YOU WILL NOT GET PICKED UP BY A BIG PUBLISHER IN YOUR CURRENT FORM. YOU, AT THE MOMENT, SUCK. BUT YOU CAN BETTER. BY LISTENING TO YOUR CRITICS.

Mainstream critics can't criticize you if you aren't published by a big publisher- and you won't get published by one unless you listen to the critics you have here.

I will constructively criticize everything you write, free of charge, being as nice as I can, if you listen to me. But you're not. You think you're a good writer- you aren't. You think you're great enough to be published- you aren't.

But I'm not quite there yet myself. I mean, sure, I've been paid for freelancing before, but I'm certainly not an appropriate critic, nope. I've been writing for years, but I can't possibly contribute to the growth of our sweet Goddess Lily.
