But it's a purely ceremonial role! It's bothersome how princesses are (almost always) just sitting back and getting kidnapped or something instead of out there DOING SOMETHING. Which is why princesses like Eirika, Lissa, and Eowyn (not technically a princess but w/e) are much better.

well there are good princess, such as i mentioned estellise who actually DOES something when she is given the chance(although being forced to stay in a damn castle with no way of outside contact is depressing).

Plus ive found some rpgs where princess do something rather then sit in their little castle.

Might try to get a rotator sig and rotator avi in, but meh, I'm lazy right now. I'd have to resize and edit all those images.

Also, it won't just revolve around one song, and will probably have more characters too. Win-Win.

As much as you don't like Friendship is Magic. You have to admit this is something the show fixes with Princesses. (Although arguably, the Princesses in FiM are Queens in all but name.)

None of us really do. Lauren actually intended Celestia to be a queen. But apparently Hasbro thought the only thing Children saw with Princesses and Queens were was Snow White because their logic apparently was: Queens = Evil, Princesses = Good. But all in all, we know all the Princesses do something and take charge in the show. (Even the most pretty pink of them called Cadence that was put in the show just to sell toys, got to kill a villain)

It's a big reason why I actually like they promoted Twilight (In case you haven't heard, it's a bit of a base breaker). Princesses are awesome in Friendship is Magic.

oh, i heard about that alright. i don't see what the issue is personally but i don't really have any connection to the character so i can't really judge.

As someone who does have a connection to the character. I'm somewhat the same way in regards to people who complain about it as most of it is "It was mandated" (Even if so, it was better fitted in then Canterlot Wedding was. And I liked Canterlot Wedding. Those who like Canterlot Wedding despite Cadence and Shining Armor being forced in, yet dislike how MMC may have been mandated are hypocrites) or "Twilight didn't want to be a Princess!" (That's putting words in her mouth, she never said this. She never said she wanted to be a Princess either, but considering FiM Princesses are also high-level wizards basically. It still works) or overreactionary reasons to dislike it like "She'll have to seperate from her friends!" or "She'll become a Mary Sue!" (Both have been disproven by Season 4).

But this is getting off-topic now. All my new avatars though have been just a Twilight face from the newest episode every week. xP
